Unprofessional Property Management
When we arrived on December 27 we were settling in and had tried to connect to the internet. We called the owner to ask about the wifi password when he proceeds to tell us that our reservation was canceled, apparently on December 3. However, at no point did we receive a cancellation notice and argued our case.The owner then told us that we need to leave the premises. While packing our stuff we proceeded to call Vrbo teams and Evolve teams. When we called Vrbo they confirmed with us that we still had a reservation, but once we called the Evolve Team they told us that it had in fact been canceled and there was a mistake on their end. As we were talking to the Evolve Team on the phone we proceeded to get calls and emails notifying us that our reservation was canceled. Be in mind this was over an hour after we had signed into the house and settled our belongings. Additionally, the Evolve team proceeded to only offer us a refund and attempt to help us find a place of similar price, which was not going to happen given how difficult it was to find places to begin with. The only other solution they gave us was to add 50 to help us pay for another place. As for the owner, he proceeded to get mad at us for not having left the place yet despite how short notice and complicated the situation was. He was yelling at us, used profanity against us, and he even called us “dirty”. It was severely inappropriate and unprofessional of the owner to do that. Overall we are very dissatisfied.
