Chill out and relax in true Portuguese style at Casa da Aldeia!
The cottage, which date back to 1911, is originally part of a traditional Portuguese farm. However, it has been renovated to offer the perfect Portuguese holiday experience.
The cottage still contain many of the original authentic details such as a well, traditional oven and the preserved tile flooring. This traditional Portuguese feel at the Casa de Aldeia resonates throughout the local area of Santa Babara de Nexe.
The cottage can sleep up to four people, with one bedroom that can sleep two people and another luxury double sofa bed that can accommodate an additional two people.
The Portuguese holiday home has a private entrance, a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, living room and outdoor eating area, and they can be booked together or individually. The cottage also come with free Wi-Fi.
Bed linen and towels are provided.
Shared areas include the rooftop terrace, garden with sun beds and swimming pool, courtyard with access to the BBQ.
Casa da Aldeia has beautiful views of the entire Bay from Faro and is also a good base for the whole Algarve.
Algarve is literally at your feet.
Every morning, the fish monger pass by the cottages where you can purchase fresh bread and fish. There is also a brilliant butcher just 10 minutes walk from the cottages. We grow our own herbs which are available to all our guests. We also make our own yogurt and jam.
If you want to change things up and experience some of the local city life then Faro is just a 12 minute drive away. With an array of restaurants, cafes and beautiful beaches Faro is a great insight into what the Algarve has to offer.
Away from the hustle and bustle of Faro you can find a range of beautiful island beaches that can be reached by a small train or boat. Away from the sea, you can head to Monchique where you will find the best views of the Algarve and also some of the best Peri-Peri chicken too.
Sticking with the theme of local produce there are a number of local markets in which you can purchase all the local delicacies including cheese, olives, bread and fresh fruit.
