Really nice hotel, everything was clean and worked, nothing old or worn out. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast very tasty. Almost five stars, apart from some small niggles: The bed was a bit firm for my taste, and I like it firm; The heater/air conditioner was pointed straight at the bed and blew alternate warm and cool air in my face all night; Coffee at breakfast wasn't self service and I was never offered a refill; Choice of fruits at breakfast was limited (just melon or watermelon), and I was there in the first half. I'd still happily stay there again, though.

What a gem of a place. Staying on my own I felt safe and cared for at this friendly facility. The added bonus of a Shakespeare play in the garden on the night of my stay made it extra special. Exceptional value. I will be back.

Excellent friendly staff who go out of their way to help you. I wonderful place full of character and charm. Good food and a wonderful breakfast! Super dog friendly, which is a big bonus. Very welcoming and friendly – highly recommend.

Very good stay
Very good stay. Rooms very well equipped and everything worked as it should. Rooms in a separate building to the inn with its own car park next to the entrance so very easy to transfer luggage. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant also up to expectations.

Comfortable bed, nice size room, nice & clean, all teh main things were right. Just hassle getting shower gel out of the bottle, practically dismantled the dispenser to get at it. Could do with a bit of variety on bar menu, some people have potato intolerances so one option that isn't boiled, mash, triple cooked chips or roast potatoes would have been welcomed.
