"The stay was fine but the property was up a steep rocky driveway which I wasn’t expecting and when we checked in, the front door was left open with all the lights on, and the house smelled of smoke. I thought I accidentally walked into the wrong house because I’ve never checked into a property where it seemed like there was someone already in the house. I didn’t feel safe until we looked through all the rooms and made sure the door was locked . "

Ear plugs are thoughtfully provided. The first night we had our windows open as the room was a bit warm. If you are sensitive to noise, it may be a struggle."

"We were in for only a few hours, but this place was so empty, and creepy. We loved it. We did see one other car when we arrived, and two when we left in the morning. I wish the restaurant and tavern were open when we stayed. You can feel the gistory in the area and building. I wish we would have had more time to dig in to local history."

My only problems were that the gravel road to access the property is a bit rough and finding the right driveway can be a little tricky, especially if not arriving in full daylight.
