Swiftwater-Secluded Log Cabin-Falls Of Rough Private and Peaceful

Quiet place to Relax Lakeview
Swiftwater which sleeps 6 is a perfect place to stay whether you are hiking on the one-mile Lake Ridge Trail to explore for birds or Bald Eagle, boating on the 5,000-acre Falls of Rough Lake, or going to the beautiful lodge to dine, or attending one of their many events. The A-frame log cabin is surrounded by oak and pine trees that give lots of privacy to enjoy the peaceful sounds of nature. The cabin has 2 bedrooms with queen beds in each room and a sleeper sofa in the living room. One of the bedrooms has a jetted jacuzzi tub plus a large walk-in shower and the other has a full tub/bath shower. The kitchen and living room are an open concept with a stone fireplace to enjoy on those cool nights and a large screen TV above. The kitchen is equipped with all the amenities you will need to enjoy your stay and we provide a few trash bags, paper towels, dishwashing soap, and sample coffee for your arrival. A full-size washer and dryer is available with detergent if needed. A gas grill is located outside for barbecuing with grilling utensils inside the kitchen. Behind the cabin is a fire pit and seating to enjoy at night to roast hotdogs or smores with your friends or family. The front deck has two dining tables with umbrellas and seating for eight to enjoy late afternoon views of the lake while relaxing or dining. There is a neighborhood pond to fish for catch and release for enjoyment. We currently have Direct TV that offers many channels to watch and Wi-Fi will be available soon.

This place is an absolute gem. The owners are very friendly and responsive and also check in to make sure things are going smoothly. My husband and I have stayed here twice just to get away from every day life and to relax. The cabin is stocked with everything you need for your stay. The beds are very comfortable and the jacuzzi tub is the absolute best part of it all. We cannot wait to book our next stay!

My wife and I spent a few days just relaxing at Swiftwater. It’s absolutely beautiful and a wonderful place to stay. Property and cabin are immaculate and had every amenity. Owner was very friendly and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for more. We will be returning often and frequently.

Perfect Family Getaway!
This place was perfect for our family getaway! The house was very clean, beds were comfortable and the peace and quiet of the area was great! This was the perfect property for this stop on our family vaction. Plenty of space for the 5 of us and enough space around the firepit and dining table for other family members staying around the corner. My son loved the fishing pond and everyone loved the neighborhood.

We loved this cabin! It's very close to Rough River State Park where we usually stay on Memorial Day Weekend. But this cabin is so much better than the State Park's cabins. Very clean and well furnished. It was great to have a nice place to stay since we were inside for quite a while due to the weather. We hope to be back soon!

Great Getaway
This cabin is great! Everyrhing you need is there. Clean and cozy. We split our time between Louisville and Bowling Green so it was the perfect location. The only things I missed was having cell service (we have AT&T and only got 2 bars on the back porch.) and there is no internet (we knew that from the beginning). TV in the bedroom didnt have sound so we only had the one tv in the living room. Overall, this was one of the better cabins we have stayed in.

This was an absolutely cute, cozy, comfortable and extremely clean cabin. It was the perfect size for we two couples to share space, and yet have privacy. We and our friends of forty years met to plan a big vacation next year. This was a great mid-way point between KS, where they live and VA, where we reside. We enjoyed our stay!!

This cabin had everything we needed for a quiet stay. The back porch was amazing for watching and listening to wildlife in the early morning. The bed was comfortable. The large tub and oversize shower were luxurious. The kitchen had everything we could need. It was perfect! We will definitely come back.
