"Overall it was ok "

"I had a great stay. Check in/out was so easy, no hassle. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. My only feedback was that the decor and wallpaper was clearly very old, we’re talking probably from the days where smoking in rooms was allowed. Of course there was no smell or problem, so I still rated 5 stars, but the place is a bit dated. Otherwise the room was great, I didn’t find it loud despite the construction all around the building, and I slept well every night I was there. The location was incredible and had so many restaurants and shops within walking distance. It was a great place to stay for a Halifax vacation, I recommend it to anyone looking for a prime location on a budget. "

"We loved the Sutton Place Hotel. We had never been to Halifax so we weren't really sure if this would be a good location, but it was very convenient and it was easy to walk to restaurants and the waterfront. The front desk staff and bell staff were friendly and courteous. The room was small, but the decor was very updated and pretty - especially the bathroom. We also thought the price was very reasonable for an upscale downtown hotel."

"I lucked out in discovering The Fourth Lock BnB. The Fletcher Room was clean and comfortable, with a spacious bathroom, and sliding doors opening onto a deck overlooking scenic Thomas Lake. The shared lounge was stocked with coffee, tea, juice and yogurt, and there were snacks in the room as well. Good wifi. Very reasonably priced and a 10 minute drive to the airport. Lots of services close by like grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations. Jay is a great host, and very responsive if anything is needed."

"Comfortable beds. Friendly staff . Buffet breakfast is always great and servers there are excellent."
