Hello! We really enjoyed our stay here. The location and setting were both beautiful. The appliances in the kitchen were all new, stainless steel, and fairly clean. There were plenty of newer dishes, silverware, and cups, as well as pots, pans, and cooking utensils. The furniture was all comfortable, although there was some light staining on the couch in the main living room. The bed on the main floor was a full, so the sleeping setup wasn’t conducive to three married couples. However, all the bedding was very clean and there were plenty of pillows. The deck is stunning and we could tell the lower deck was brand new. That was a great investment! The bathrooms were all recently redone or in the process of being redone, although two of the three had pretty tiny shower stalls and the full tub in the basement had a slow drain. There was plenty of toilet paper, towels, and washcloths provided, as well as beach towels for the hot tub. And the hot tub was in great shape and was clean. You can tell the owner is in the process of making quite a few upgrades to home and the landscaping. New evergreen trees and bushes had been planted and they were beginning construction on a pass through driveway. That will be a wonderful feature, as the current driveway is very steep and difficult to maneuver in - however there was plenty of space for parking and turning around. There was tons of outdoor lighting, most of it solar powered. The night we arrived, it was raining, dark, and none of the solar powered lights were working, so we had to haul all our stuff up two flights of steep, uneven, outdoor stairs in the dark. The motion lights only stayed on for a minute or so, so they weren’t much help. The decor in the house was cute - typical mountain cabin theme - with some cool pieces of art and some old cross country skis that were a nod to the nearby ski lodge. We all felt the house was pretty clean, although a little dusty in places. There is supposed to be cleaning that happens between stays, but we found crumbs on the floor, in the fridge, and a bag of stale cheese puffs on a table on the landing. While there, we tried our best to keep the house tidy, but felt that the owner may want to provide a broom, dust pan, and possibly a vacuum cleaner to help visitors clean up any messes on the floor. This would have been especially helpful since we had a toddler with us. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this house to anyone.
