Winter chill is in the air! Love winter sports? Stay with us and visit Liberty Ski Resort only five minutes away. Ready for a change of pace? Visit our cabin for a slice of mountain life. Plan your day -- will it be a trip to Gettysburg only 20 minutes away; a winter hike in a local park or national forest (maps and other information available), or just a relaxing day at the cabin.

Our cabin has 3 bedrooms and two full baths and is located in the mountains of Carroll Valley, PA. We are conveniently located 2 miles from Liberty Resort and 20 minutes from the Gettysburg Battlefields. Our cabin is a perfect lodging alternative for those attending weddings at Liberty Resort, any of the other wedding venues, or visiting family in the area.


Our cabin comes fully stocked with dishes, bake ware, glasses, pots, pans, everything you need to make your stay most memorable. There is even a washer and dryer for your use. Linens and towels are provided making this a great weekend getaway.


Our cabin features a huge stone fireplace. Great place to unwind after a long day of hiking, sightseeing, or just hanging out at the cabin. Return to the cabin and relax with your beverage of choice!


We have two TVs, one in the living room area and the other in the loft. The downstairs TV does have cable and a DVD player; the upstairs TV is DVD/VCR only. Bring your favorite movies or watch one of the many in our movie library. There are games and puzzles there for all to use.

In addition to being close to Gettysburg, we are 25 minutes from Long Pine Reservoir in Caledonia State Park for those interested in fishing. This park also has a seasonal swimming pool and many hiking trails. The trail head for the Appalachian Trail is only 6 miles from our cabin. Thurmont, MD is home to both a state park and Catoctin National Park both offering wonderful hiking.

Interested in golf - there is the Liberty Golf Resort two miles away, as well as the Mountain View Golf Course located outside Fairfield, PA.

Property was absolutely gorgeous. We definitely enjoyed our stay here. The back porch was so relaxing, we loved to come back after a day on the battlefield and kick back and watch the wildlife. We will definitely stay here again

Loved it! Very convenient to Gettysburg (~15 minutes), nestled in the woods and private. Beautiful cabin and well equipped. Will definitely go there again.

Beautiful cabin in a beautiful location. We saw deer in the yard and heard and saw lots of birds. Cabin was clean and as described. Very nicely decorated ! Plenty of cookware and dishes to prepare food. Marci was available by phone if needed. I would highly recommend this property in all ways.

This was our second time staying at the cabin. We love the setting in the woods and the wood burning fireplace inside is our favorite! The cabin was very clean and we had everything we needed provided for us. Any questions we had were answered by the host very quickly and easily. We will definitely be going back again!

We had an amazing time. A bear came through the backyard within 30 min of being there. Had a few deer visit. The cabin was very clean and in a quiet area. I would definitely stay herr again.

Great place for a golf weekend. Lots of courses around to choose from. 4 separate sleeping quarters. Great cabin, nice front porch, grill and accessories. Made for a great getaway weekend. We’ve been here 3 times and will be back again.
