Nice stay
Overall we had a nice stay. There were some minor issues that was handled promptly by the property host.

It definitely wasn't as nice as the pictures make it look, but it was fine enough. The yard is completely uncared for- overgrown with weeds and some trash. So dont plan to spend time outside. The inside has been partially renovated- but there are still some dangling wires and unfinished things. The upstairs shower was barely functional. The kitchen was nicely equipped, but very dark

Lots of fixes needed
This house did not feel the safest. The laundry room has exhaust pipe with a hole. There is a light above the shower that I am pretty sure is to code. Refrigerator blocks the entrance to a back door. Issue with power circuit of refrigerator and it flipping breaker. Needs overall clean up outside in the deck and yard area.

Squirrels, ceiling leak, ran out of water
We stayed here for a week in June 2024. It was a terrible week. BEWARE...there are squirrels in this "cabin" that eat your food. BEWARE.... upstairs tub is cracked and all water runs into the kitchen. BEWARE pictures look nice, home is more like a cabin. BEWARE... rear exit access to home is blocked by the refrigerator. BEWARE...home is fed by a water holding tank and the owner ran us out of water the 2nd day we were there, we had to buy $50 worth of water at Walmart to flush the toilets. BEWARE.... we had to pull 3 foot weeds to the home at the front access stairs to enter the house. BEWARE.... owner promised to give us credit for our troubles but never did. BEWARE..... the refrigerator and microwave tripped the circuit breaker several times a day and shut off until we reset the circuit breaker. BEWARE... the listing states smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors but they do not have batteries in them and are in-opperable. BEWARE.... most homes in Alaska do not have air conditioning. The windows in the upstairs of this "cabin" do not open. They supposedly have room darkening shades but they were "paper". In the land of the "midnight sun" we had to sleep in the heat of 85 degrees every evening. We would have moved elsewhere but nothing was available last minute in Fairbanks.
