Apparently this is normal as there is no staff on hand unless there is a check-in due however this prompted me to give the hotel a call. "The internet was broken, no elevetor - no airconditioning and the bugs - flies and wasps flew into the room. Had to have the windows open because it was so hot. Nice older couple ( I'm 74 myself) but in way over their heads. Really too bad. I booked another hotel through expedia and move - a good hotel the Mercure."

"I had a very nice week at City Pension Berlin. The place is two minutes from S-bahn station Charlottenburg, which make it easy to get around in the city. My room was clean and I slept very well in a nice bed. I found the staff friendly and helpful, and breakfast was good. It was a nice atmosphere there. Right next to the pension there are lots of restaurants, cafès and shops. I would come back next time in Berlin!"

"The property did the job and is okay if you need a warm dry place to stay. Great location as it’s just out of the centre and has an amazing bakery next door. Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable and was far too firm, which gave both guests some bad nights sleep. The shower had 2 settings, boiling or freezing. For an eco friendly country, we also expected a recycling bin. "
