Citta della Pieve is an attractive and surprisingly interesting hill town which projects a genuine feel for life in Umbria with relatively few tourists. "The best accommodations we've had in Italy. The rooms are so cute! The stone walls, brick ceiling, and chandelier... I felt like I woke up in a castle. The entire property is just beautiful!! Breakfast was yummy. I wish I took more of the chocolate pastry. Staff was so helpful and friendly. We even met the owner, who was so kind and most generous. I highly recommend staying at Casale Serena. It would be best to get there before dark so you don't miss the signs to locate Serena. You can walk to the medieval castle and visit the two bars in the area. Anything you will need a vehicle. Serena is excellent for an escape to get rest and relaxation. "

"This is a larger authentic Tuscan farmhouse with a lovely lush garden. The house has a rustic feel with lots of the furniture made by the hosts, the pool and garden are beautiful to relax and take in the views. Many of the sights in southern Tuscany and Umbria are close by (by car). The property is clean and the beds and bathrooms are very comfortable. The hosts are very discreet but will make you feel very welcome. Definitely would visit again! "

The villa and its amenities were perfectly described, a charming rustic renovated farmhouse with essential air conditioning, a private pool and a fully equipped kitchen. Location wise a car is essential, as there are so many beautiful and charming places to visit within a 1hour radius. The property management were super efficient, always available and helpful but never intrusive. With extremely helpful advice on places to go, entertainment and festival opportunities in the area."
