Villa "Kia Ora" is a name adopted from the Polynesian Maori of New Zealand which translated means "Be well/healthy"
"Kia Ora" is a new build designed and constructed in the style of a traditional winegrowers house. Situated in "Villerouge la Cremade" which is a hilltop Hamlet in the "Corbiere". The "Corbiere" a wine growers stronghold in the "Aude", which is one of the five departments that make up the region known as the "Languedoc Roussillon". This region is nestled in the elbow of the Mediterranean's Gulf of Lyon and stretches from "Provence" in the north down to the north eastern Spanish border with France. "Villerouge la Cremade" is close to the medieval villages of "Fabrezan" and "Ferrals" and a short drive to the various villages on the banks of the "Canal du Midi", and the impressive towns of "Carcassonne", "Narbonne" and the Beautiful village of "Lagrasse" part of the association of the most beautiful villages of France. The immediate neighbouring area offers substantial cultural and leisure activities and there are numerous "Chateaux" and vineyards offering wine tasting and direct sales of the World class wines available in this region. In the Hamlet there are the ruins of "Chateau Villerouge" which is still in active wine production as a annex to the prestigious "Chateau St Esteve" from nearby "Thezan".
