Visit some of the great houses at Paxton, Manderson and Floors, or explore Alnwick and Bamburgh castles. Also worth a visit are Seahouses and the famous Farne Islands. Good hill walking, cycling and fishing can be found in the area. Both Edinburgh and Newcastle upon Tyne are under an hour away by train or car. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub 1 mile.
