Lovely accommodation for a short break
We rented for 4 nights for the sole purpose of getting away while work was being done in our house, so it was not a planned holiday. The old cow shed was perfect for a couple, everything you could want was there. It was warm comfortable and well equipped. Despite the snow and rain (early March) we explored Suffolk and had a lovely time. Nice pub in the village and another close by on the main A140.

Very quirky house
We loved the bed, the shower with plenty of hot water. The underfloor heating is yummy and towels nice and thick. We were left some cider and biscuit, very nice.

We had a lovely stay at The Old Cow Shed and Geir/Louise were so accomodating and helpful. The accomodation is private set away from the main house but the hosts were on hand to help with anything. The shower head fell and broke a few days in and within a few hours Geir had replaced it and dropped by later to make sure it was all OK. The accomodation had everythign you would need for a few days away and was clean and comfortable. Great information about the local area too. Plenty of lovely places to visit within 45 mins drive of the cottage such as Southwold, Aldeburgh, The Broads and Framlingham which are all well worth a visit, as well as the local pub the Black Horse in just 5 mins walk away. Perfect for a relaxed getaway! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A great stay at The Cow Shed.
A great stay at The Cow Shed. Welcoming cold local cider in fridge, biscuits and jar treats for our dog. Very spacious, comfortable an everything you need away from home. On hot days great as walls stone and thick not as warm inside as our own home, welcome relief coming back indoors. Very friendly owners, there if you need anything but not Intrusive at all. We were given a bowl of freshly picked plums one morning after bumping into owner. Very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely return again. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

we thought the Old Cow Shed was lovely and provided everything we, two plus two dogs, wanted for a 3 night stay. It was quaint, cosy and fun, had a pub and wee shop 200 yds away and a lovely dedicated dog walking area two minutes walk. Highly recommended for a nesty springboard into Suffolk; and the hosts were marvellous too.

It was what it said on the tin, i.e. an Old Cow Shed. We loved it, but if your expectations are 5 star then it's not for you. It took you back in time and gave an insight into rural life of a time gone by. If you are a dog owner then it's the place to go, good walking on the doorstep, good pub up the road. The cottage was warm and cosy, quirky to say the least, if you like this sort of place then go for it. We will use it again.

Nice welcome, owners lovely.
Nice welcome, owners lovely. Nice cottage with plenty of room, bed really comfy and cottage nice and quiet to relax in. Would be nice if there was a little paddock to let the dogs loose in for a run about, but as there is a park that's only a short walk away it's not really an issue. There are a lot of walks in the area and a lovely little pub up the road (that also does takeaway food), with a community shop that has all the essentials.

The old cow shed is set in a lovely Suffolk village and is an ideal base to explore by foot or car. It has everything you need inside for a short break. The owners are lovely and are close by if required but give you the privacy to enjoy your break. The setting is just perfect for dog walking. We were out walking on the fens at sunrise each morning which is such a nice setting. The bed is comfortable and you can park right next to the accomodation which is very convenient. The local cider, biscuits, milk and sweets etc that were left for us was a very nice touch. Highly recommended for a Suffolk break to relax and get away from busy city life. Chill in the countryside. Less than an hour from the beach too.

Nice, practical dog friendly accommodation.
Nice, practical dog friendly accommodation. The Old Cow Shed was well equipped, very spacious and well located in a village with a pub and a shop. Good wifi and TV signal. Plenty of hot water and towels etc. A minor comment concerns the curtains in the bedroom did not close fully so let the early morning light in. Also a local OS map in the cottage would have been useful as we forgot to buy one beforehand and couldn't find one anywhere that we went. A cake and a couple of bottles of local cider in the fridge on arrival were much appreciated. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Excellent holiday, on arrival a nice little packup of Milk, tea and biscuits was waiting along with 2 bottles of Cider chilling in the fridge. The cottage was quiet, clean, tidy and warm, with under floor heating and contained everthing you needed to survive for 5 days. Quite a few pubs nearby, the one in the village 5 minute walk and served good food. The owner thought of everything, it rained all the time but brollies where in the cottage, kept us dry on trips out. The info folder was handy to plan trips out. Overall excellent holiday despite the rain and would visit again.
