"Like the name says this is a mountain resort. You will have a very windy Road up the mountain to the resort, but the drive is worth it. Great views. Our stay was in October and we were one of two couples at the resort so very quiet. The restaurant was not open when we got to the Resort. We didn’t expect to have a meal there. We were able to have a few glasses of wine in the bar before it closed at nine and the gentleman that worked that night was very helpful. The morning breakfast was very nice. Homemade jams and Marmalades. It was a little cool to use the pool, but it looked very nice. I think it would be a great place to go in the summertime for a relaxing holiday."

"My husband was here four years ago on a solo trip and was determined to make sure I returned to experience Monemvasia and this hotel in particular. It is the perfect location -close to the main entrance so you don’t have to carry luggage too far. Our hostess was so kind, with advice on where to eat and things to do. Such a delightful village. The bed was very comfortable – there is a small refrigerator. There’s a courtyard to sit in as well as a little back patio, depending on which room you get. The shower is small, so ladies washing your hair can be a little tricky, but I made it work. Get up with the sunrise] and hike up to the ruins early before the crowds/heat and catch the pretty light."

"Wow, what a fantastic stay! We were immediately welcomed by the lovely staff and shown the grounds via golf cart. The room was lovely although a little dark, and the bed was one of the comfiest beds I have ever had the fortune of sleeping in. The pool (and the pool bar service) was top class. The tennis courts were lush and set against a gorgeous mountain backdrop. The gym could do with a little update but who am I to complain. And the cherry on top of an already fabulous hotel, was the dinner. Christos was the most amazing and attentive waiter who made us feel so welcome. He recommended such a delicious wine and even introduced us to the world of mastika. The only fault was the cooked breakfast could be better but who am I to complain. Thank you Mystras!! "
