It’s a stunningly beautiful old building that has been modernized to make it comfortable. One complaint is that the free WiFi is not usable in most places

The old convent was lovely. We stayed in the old part of the hotel and it was very comfortable- the bed was huge! All the staff were friendly and we enjoyed a free wine tasting on arrival and a bottle of sparkling wine in our room. The indoor pool was ok, but the steam room and sauna were disappointingly cool. The outdoor pool was great and would be gorgeous in the summer. The hotel was really peaceful and it was easy to get in to Evora for dinner and shopping. Breakfast was excellent!

The breakfast quality was poor and food was cold in the buffet which was supposed to be hot. No hot made to order options. Laundry department tried to overcharge on items sent. Pool is absolutely loaded in chlorine beyond normal levels, the smell penetrates through corridors and is present on the entire building and rooms nearby. Jacuzzi gull of foam and oils from guests, not cleaned sufficiently. A shame as overall it is a nice location and it could really be a 5 stars hotel if it improved the breakfast.

This was by far the most luxurious property my husband and I have ever experienced. The convent itself is a beautiful place in its own right and the attention to detail the staff provided was outstanding.

We had a lovely stay at Convento do Espinheiro. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast buffet, and loved lounging around the pool area. We also took part in the hotel wine tasting and had a delicious and memorable meal at Divinus! I would highly recommend staying here.

This property is simply stunning. Perfect for a visit to Evora, but frankly a destination on its own. The staff recommended a restaurant in Evora for lunch that was fantastic. The gardens are glorious and we had the chapel to ourselves when we explored, its amazing rivals many we paid to visit. Live music in the cloisters and excellent breakfast all added bonuses! Will tell friends and family they must visit!
