Area isn’t amazing as there aren’t many good places to eat around it and the town itself isn’t very lively but there is a cheap train that goes straight to Zurich which is walking distance from it "

"Located about 25 minutes around the lake from Lucerne, this hotel offers a beautiful view of the lake, modern amenities and a super spacious room. We traveled with three adults and were surprised with a setup like a two bedroom…as opposed to most others with a three twin or queen and a sofa bed setup. Super pleased with the entire experience. The Alex delivers it all: An attentive an accommodating staff, clean and spacious rooms, excellent location just outaide of the city (but a 5-10 minute walk to the train station) great views overlooking the lake, i could go on. Will definitely be staying here again when i come back to Switzerland."
