"The gentelmen who worked on the 2nd and 5th were so polite and helpful. The first gentelmen (my first day) was very understanding and flexible- I showed up a day late, tired, hungry, and without proper payment and he trusted me to do the right thing (and I did). He took the time to reccommend places to see and where to eat (he was right!) and I was able to make the best of my trip. "Good service, helped us check in and guided on what to so. Platform bed was in bad condition with rails falling. Overall, just a night stay is ok. It had common kitchen, so not what I wanted. Bathroom was in the room, but smelly. Room was OK. Not worth what I paid, but none other was available either at that time for cheaper price. "

When I arrived to House Oktogon my mood completely changed as I was greeted warmly by İldi who insisted that I borrow some of her personal items since I lost my luggage and even offered to call the bus company to try and help me locate my bag. "The best thing about this hotel is its location, The room I have is very noisy, the bed was tidy and clean but not comfortable. I booked a room for £125 online but ended up paying £135 at the hotel as the owner has his own change rate. will never stay there again."

"First off, great location. Heart of District V and plenty of shops, bars, restaurants, etc. at the doorstep. Very touristy area but great access to plenty of sight seeing. The room is tucked away where you get quiet. Good room for bare minimum needs. However, we went in a nice heat wave and there’s no AC in the room. No breeze as the room is tucked inside a building. "Our stay started with the receptionist saying I needed to pay again even though the booking was prepaid. Eventually after contacting hotels.com this was resolved but he walked away from me and refused to deal with the issue until the morning. Additionally, the bathroom was infested with wasps and although there were others to use and it was eventually resolved, it wasn't ideal. The room felt comfortable and spacious but the plugs were a little temperamental and there was no air conditioning....

"This is the worst place I have ever stayed in my life. NO hot water, NO wifi, the place was absolutely filthy dirty, smelly. There was no towels provided to begin with. The picture and description of this place is nothing like what it is in real life. NO toilet paper. There was groups of men in and out everyday downstairs. Couldn't even have a shower ...no hot water. We had to leave the place... it was making us sick. PLEASE DONT STAY HERE"

"We really liked the room, would have been nice to have a couple of chairs to sit in. The bed was comfy but the pillows were very skimpy. Breakfast was amazing and staff were pleasant . Of the 4 times we interacted with the front desk staff one was good, a young gentleman, the other 3 times not great, my husband says maybe it’s a language barrier but a smile goes a long way."

Great facilities and food- but queues!

"Great hotel superby situated and with lovely rooms. Ideal for Keleti station. Buffet breakfast great srlectipn and good quality hot and cold food. Coffee excellent. I would suggest that layout of buffet is changed. Currently large queues form for bread/pasteries but the pile of plates is after the counter causi g many problems. Porridge and fruit is along the rear, but spoons only available in far corner. Needs better logic to speed the large queues from several coach tours."

"simple to get to and a pleasant one night business stop over for me. Very comfortable, decent little gym to make use of right at reception (!) so a hotel I would revisit again in the future. Friendly and efficient staff as well. Buffet breakfast was excellent. Thank you Hampton By Hilton Budapest. "
