"The hotel was in a lovely location around 20 minutes from St Helier by bus. The bus stop is just outside, and the bus service is very frequent and reliable. All the staff were wonderful, and I would definitely stay at the hotel again if I revisit Jersey. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the quality of the service, cleanliness, bar, restaurant, food etc etc. The employees were great too. However, the hotel is not ideal for someone that has impaired mobility or uses a wheelchair, because of steps within the common parts of the building and does not have a lift to access the upper floors' bedrooms. "The hotel had great staff. The common areas are nice and very well done. The only thing that prevented a 5 star rating was the very small and dated feel of the room we had. It felt more like staying at an aunt’s house than a hotel. It was our first time in the area, so I don’t know if that’s standard for the area. Given the very limited options in that area, the proximity to Omaha Beach, and the friendliness of the staff, would recommend, and stay again. "

"Amazing, great little hotel in the city centre of Cherbourg. Nice to have a private car park onsite, but beware the parking space are limited and the parking bay are quite small and narrow. Other then that, the bedroom and bathroom is nice size and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who coming to Cherbourg"

"Very charming town, fabulous view from the hotel, friendly and helpful staff, close to everything. It was great to watch the fishing boats come in and out of the port."

"- Receptionists were excellent. - Breakfast was good. - Not easy to obtain taxi service. - Room was excellent but could not adjust the temperature easily and so it was very hot at night! "

"This was just the property I was hoping for when booking a trip with my daughter to the historic beaches of Normandy. The room was basic, but clean and comfortable. Service was also basic but prompt and polite. And food was available in the hotel both morning and evening. We had a great vacation and I'd happily recommend the Ibis Port en Bessin"

"Very basic hotel in a quaint little French town. Great location for excursions into Carentan, Utah Beach, etc. Worth the very reasonable cost. Village shopping area just a few steps away for necessities. "

"We were delighted with out stay - from the check-in to the Manager (Michelle) checking in to see if there was anything we additionally needed. From Benson and colleagues at the door through to the restaurant - one of out best stays ever. Great team and can recommend the Sunday Roast lunch as well - just perfect."

"Lovely overnight stay. Small room and en-suite but fine for one night. Good buffet breakfast had everything we needed. Good location for bars, shops and restaurants but not noisy. We didn’t have a car, but the public car park was 5 minutes away. We will stay there again."

"We were on a day trip to Cherbourg so only stayed for one night but we can highly recommend the hotel for its location and the friendliness of its staff. Our family room had everything we needed, with three beds being provided as requested. We slept very well in the comfortable beds. The bathroom was large and clean. The location is perfect and we received some excellent recommendations of places to eat. Not related to the hotel but Cherbourg itself - we expected there to be more cafes/bars open in the evening for a coffee or ice cream but everywhere appeared to close at around 10pm or earlier. We would however definitely return for a short break to Cherbourg and Hotel d'Angleterre. "
