"The location of the hotel is absolutely beautiful. The views of the surronding mountains and gardens all over the property really make you feel part of nature. The lobby, outdoor pools, and walkways are well kept and clean. The parking lot is direcrly across the road and private which is great. Westward up the main road is a great resturant for dinner. "From checking in to dining to nightly entertainment. This resort is above our expectations. The staff at the front desk just couldn’t do enough To make sure our stay was everything we wanted. The dining and wait staff were beyond accommodative to any needs. Friendly, kind and respectful. Helen at the dining runs a great staff, it was so great to see a head staff having fun with everyone. "Faburlous sea views from close up. If you sleep well with the sound of waves -- can't beat it. Very convenient for short walks to restaurants and a grocery right next door. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Staff were very friendly and professional. It's hard to think of something we didn't like, but perhaps it would be people slamming doors in the early morning. (Perhaps soft-close mechanisms?)"

"Lovely stay with a beautiful rooftop pool. I stayed here for the half marathon race and loved the cooler outside my room and refillable glass water bottle. Location is safe and walkable. To many restaurants and attractions in the city. Would certainly stay here again."

"A great 3 night stay. We loved the location - super views but very easy to walk into the town to explore! We were able to park our car on site too which was a real bonus. Our room was clean comfortable and we had a lovely view of the port. We enjoyed the pool and terrace on our last day. One suggestion and that's for more information to be given on the Spa facilities. We thought they were great but sadly only found out about them at the very end of our stay. I have to mention the breakfast buffet. It was amazing. So much choice, catering for all tastes with great staff too If we returned to Funchal we would definitely stay here. "
