The house was exactly as described which was phenomenal. Great views and convenient location to Estes and RMNP.
There was a minor hiccup during our trip and the host was on top of it right away. Great confidence in her and would return for another trip.
We enjoyed staying it this home during our vacation in Estes. The house was very roomy and was perfect for our large group. The house was close to town but far enough to avoid traffic noise. There are great views from the large deck. I would definitely stay there again.
This was a great spot for a girls’ weekend!
Lots of room for comfy sleeping, common space for gathering, cooking, chatting.
The hot tub was a bonus, and the large front deck was so lovely!
We enjoyed our stay. Quite neighborhood, steep driveway, well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Owner was very efficient in taking care of a minor issue with the hot tub and we were able to use it for our stay.
Such a nice place. Everyone had a great time and everything was very nice! For snow purposes I definitely would recommend a 4 Wheel drive vehicle and maybe ask them to plow if it has snowed recently. Everyone enjoyed their stay and it was a beautiful place.
Our group included 10 adults, ages 20-55. This home was perfect for our weekend getaway. Plenty of room, plenty of bathrooms, stunning views, and everything was just as stayed. Worth the price!
This is our 2nd time to stay in this cabin. Great location, views from every window and the best floor plan. Care and thought have obviously gone into interior. You get the real mountain cabin experience. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
We enjoyed our stay in Estes at the Mountain Retreat. We were located close to the town of Estes and near the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance. The family enjoyed the hot tub, and the bedrooms were nice. There were a few minor issues, but we worked around them and still enjoyed our stay.
We loved our weekend stay. The property's rustic cabin ambience was just what we were looking for. It is in a residential neighborhood less than 10 minutes from town, but you feel like you're all alone out in the woods. Host was responsive when we needed help with the hot tub.
The cabin was wonderful and well equipped. Although we knew there was no air conditioner, the fans worked ok but it was it was extremely hot outdoors so it didn't entirely work out. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay.
The Mountain House exceeded our expectations! The check-in/out process was detailed and accurate. The rooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable. The property was well-stocked, including all the kitchen appliances and cookware you can think of. Heidi was very communicative as well. We would book this place again in a heartbeat!
Couldn’t have asked for a better home away from home. We are a family of 8. Spanning 3 generations. Plenty of room, privacy, great kitchen. Lighting could be improved in kitchen. Perfect location, quiet
Thank you Heidi
The house is perfect! We were close to numerous hiking trails at Rocky Mountain National Park. There is a cute little town of Estes Park with a fun downtown shopping area. Spent a day at the Stanley Hotel for a Shining tour. At the end of each day we had this wonderful house with an amazing hot tub just a few steps from the porch. House was clean, well stocked with a very log cabin and forestry decor. Perfect for our little Colorado adventure!
Loved the property, had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again. The reviews that say you need 4wd or AWD are correct if there’s going to be snow. We didn’t have any issues and they did plow the driveway twice while we were there. But definitely recommend taking a vehicle with 4x4 or AWD just in case. They had the house stocked with plenty of accommodations, we didn’t have any issues. It was close to town. We loved it. Thank you! We will be back next time we come to Estes!
Our adult family (6 members) enjoyed a relaxing weekend at Heidi's home in Estes. We were able to do a walk to a trailhead from the house, which is located in a neighborhood just south of Estes. The main floor is a great hang-out spot with large table for meals and games. However, the home is a bit older and some of the fixtures required repair - for instance, the sink didn't drain and the toilet handle was disconnected in one downstairs bathroom. The house could also benefit from one sharp knife for meal preparations. Nonetheless, the mountain house is a great gathering space with wonderful views.
Everything was great. The only small thing that should be addressed are, there are a couple receptacles in the front room that need to be replaced, they don’t keep a cord connected, it just falls out of the receptacle. There were a lot of dead flys and spiders that were all around the floors that I vacuumed up and the lower bathroom handle was broken, kinda had to flush it by opening the top of the commode. Overall, it was a beautiful and very accommodating residence. Thanks for the hospitality, the host was great and super friendly.
We really enjoyed the property and the location was very convenient for our family. It was great to have all the family in one unit with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The owner was so nice to work with a glitch on my part before traveling.
We were unable to use the tv in the living room area as it would not hold a connection. Also I would suggest that instructions be put in the guest notes on how to use the overhead light and fan in the living room. A toilet downstairs was wobbly to sit on and the handle came off but we were able to put it back on, The vent cover in the dining area was broken into several wooden pieces before we arrived and could not be put back together. All of these were minor items and definitely would not deter us from staying here again.
