Good location but needs a refurb
Our host Rosa graciously waited for our late arrival due to a delayed flight, and had put the aircon on ready for our arrival.
The apartment is well located close to the marina and a good carrefour supermarket. The walk to beach and town is very doable, but a little hilly.
For what I paid for our 2-week stay, I would have expected some kind of welcome offering, perhaps some water, other basic provisions for our first night and morning, but there was nothing.
The apartment was adequate for us, but seriously needs a refurb when you factor in the cost. Light fittings are hanging by electric wires only in some cases, there is one mirror in the whole apartment, and the terrace furniture is low quality and uncomfortable. The bathroom, particularly the bath/shower area is tired and needs replacing, and dining table is cheap and tatty, with peeling veneers.
There is a washing machine as promised, but it is an antique top-loader which broke on first use. When I reported this by message to the letting agent, there was no response at all.
I'm aware that the state and refurb of the property facades and the terrace is largely down to community agreement, but it needs to be cleaned up and painted.
I'm lucky enough to be have a property in another part of Spain that I rent to visitors. My letting agent would not allow me to present my property in this way.
We had a good stay in Estepona, and I would recommend the town. But this apartment needs much work to be considered good value.
