"We had a fabulous holiday at Mas de la Rivière. The house is spacious and well-equipped and the private and partially shady terrace with its beautiful trees and wisteria-covered outdoor dining space was a godsend on the hottest of days. "The address given is not accurate and it took us ages to find, we had to hope that the host read the messages, he then gave us the address. This is listed as an English speaking host which is not accurate. We struggled to communicate. The place is advertised with a pool but this was out of bounds due to the drought, we understand this but we should have known before arrival. We had no hot water at all during our stay and we could not contact the host despite messaging and ringing the door...

"We had a lovely holiday here as a family with our two small dogs, The accommodation is spacious and excellent. There are several places to eat in the garden which has beautiful flowers.There is an easy walk to the beach and a slightly more challenging walk to Collioure, which we loved. The shop in the adjacent campsite is very good. The garden was safe and secure for our dogs but there isn't a fence around the pool or a pool cover. "
