Turns out i didn't, a screen in the vestibule enabled creation of a magnetic room key as long as you had your reservation # from hotel email confirmation (not expedia #, the hotel #). Staff was very friendly when i net them the next day and at check out. It all worked flawless, once i figured out the self check in...

"Very nice, stylish hotel. Room was clean and inviting. I loved the shower with the waterfall shower head. I wish the beer selection would have been a big larger but overall this is a great hotel."
