The owners are pure heaven to communicate with even if you're German isnt all that great. All the neighbors in the village are outstanding people and and a joy to be around. "The house was newly renovated, clean, spacious & comfortable. The location was excellent, across a quiet street from a river and walking trails, while being a 10 min. walk to the centre of Gemund with several great restaurants/bars. The host family responded quickly to my messages and graciously forwarded a hat I had forgotten to one of my next accommodations. The few negatives were that I found the pillows uncomfortable and a few of the listed amenities were not present, such as a clothes...

"The hotel insisted we hadn’t paid when we arrived despite my proving i had paid 6 months previously. VRBO couldn’t/didn’t help and despite talking to an agent who said they would be back in touch no communication was received. The host eventually turned up at the hotel after we were in bed. Also turns out that the host charged us more than the hotel would have done - an extra £50 over the two nights. The hotel is brilliantly located but apart from that it is very very basic and like walking back...
