"The staff at this hotel are so nice. The breakfast is really good. My room was comfortable, a little spartan but that was fine. Everything I needed was there. I love the lobby, I don’t know if you’d all it art deco or faded grandeur but I really did like it. This hotel is right in the middle of everything. The sea is 5 minutes walk in one direction, including the ferry terminal. The railway station 10 minutes in the other. I was very comfortable here."

"I love tobacco suites and will stay there every time I'm in southern Italy. The staff are warm and welcoming. The rooms a beautiful and the whole place is just very unique. They don't sell their story enough about it really being converted from an old tobacco factor so it's not just a theme but you have history there too. Highly recommended. My friend had to move to another local spot for few days because this was booked and she missed the fresh breakfast and warmth of the tobacco suites. The suites are amazing and fully equipped with anything you need for longer stay. "

Love the fact that this property has been passed down over generations and they make you feel as if you’re part of the family. I would absolutely recommend this property. "The front desk was on the ground floor, as usual in Europe. The lift that I never used was a little bit up the stairs. To get to the 1st floor, I had to climb another circular flight of stairs. The room I had was big enough for myself, with the bathroom having plenty of space. Overall, the fixtures were aged, worn, but clean. The bed was very comfortable, the pillow being a little shallow. I asked for a second pillow and promptly got it. My room overlooked the ferry terminal across the street. The necessary AC worked really well, thankfully. As for location, the hotel is on a main bus line about 300 meters from the palm tree lined main street, Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi I, with 2 little cafes at the end of the Corso that meets the beautiful waterfront. The better cafe is Cafe Au Sonia, a Quarta Caffe member. Well run, and obviously where all the locals go, as it was always busy. The other cafe next door, had few or no folks there whenever I went by. Also, there are several other eateries up the Corso offering a variety of local fare. Also, there is a Eurospin super market a 10 minute walk from the hotel, using side streets. So, would I go back to this hotel? Absolutely!!! Very reasonably priced, not fancy but charming with the lobby having a nautical theme, well located near the gorgeous waterfront and train station, and with a staff that is extremely helpful, aiming to please. The front desk manned 24/7. Consider this hidden gem in Brindisi."
