"A family of four, we stayed in one of the junior suites, with a queen bed and a converted sofa bed. The room was very spacious, had large closet space, and the bath came with double sinks. "Recks is managed by the same family and they do it all... the cuisine is excellent, the hotel is well appointed and the property is beautiful. Everyone was super helpful and super nice. Although the hotel is old, the rooms are really large and pretty and clean, and everything works well. Spring was blooming at the hotel gardens and it was quite a sight... highly reccomend. "

"The hotel was not clean. The breakfast had hair in it TWICE. Room service was awful. The internet was broken for 4 days. There is NO pool and NO spa service on the premises (you have to call a number external to the hotel and book yourself. I would not spend 30€ per night on this hotel."

"We had two family apartments. One which was the main floor, and one on the third floor. The main level was okay temperature wise with a travel fan; however, the third floor was horrible even with a travel fan. I would highly recommend investing in two fans per room or air conditioning. Great Stay

"Great Hotel, its just at the Sigmaringen Hbf so very close; also Lidl (5 mins by walking) and Kaufland is close by Burg Sigmaringen is right there too. The hotel is clean, the front desk lady very accommodating and helpful! no elevators so wooden stairs. Room is quaint and very warm with carpet so I would take off shoe before venturing further in the room. You can adjust the heat yourself (no central heating control). The Beams in the room is a bit of a safety hazard (for some) if not careful. The bathroom is great but smells like a bit of sulfur/sewage? so the light turns on with the fan (not much of a bother to me). TV with most channels and you can use Netflix/Disney+/etc. (navigate to app store - Samsung TV). All-in-all, great! excellent stay if you are in the area to visit Burg Sigmaringen, Burg Hohenzollern and maybe Schloss Lichtenstein (plan out a route for this one) and to Ulm.. Also Thank you for the little gifts! much appreciated! you don’t get that in other hotels these days "

Nice Apartment Building

"We had two family apartments. One which was the main floor, and one on the third floor. The main level was okay temperature wise with a travel fan; however, the third floor was horrible even with a travel fan. I would highly recommend investing in two fans per room or air conditioning. Bed was comfortable; however, I would invest in real pillows or definitely bring your own. Overall we had a lovely stay. The elevator did breakdown once but was fixed within 24 hours. Location was fabulous and rooms were cute with well equipped kitchen. "

"A family of four, we stayed in one of the junior suites, with a queen bed and a converted sofa bed. The room was very spacious, had large closet space, and the bath came with double sinks. The room had floor-to-ceiling windows with an absolutely breathtaking view over the Bodensee. Staff was all very friendly, though despite us speaking German and English, at times there were some language-based communication challenges with restaurant staff that could be improved. Our family also very much liked the breakfast buffet. It was super easy to grab a bus at a nearby bus stop to head down into town and enjoy the promenade. If there would be two things I'd love to see improve, it would be dedicated smoking / non-smoking sections for the restaurant's terrace. Like us, I noticed several other guests being disturbed by other guests smoking and taking away from what is otherwise a great outside breakfast and dining experience. The second thing, which I recognize will not be easy and certainly isn't a fault of the hotel / staff, would be to find a way to keep wasps at bay. There were plenty of wasps disturbing guests--including our kids--and it also took away from the experience while eating on the terrace. This was our first stay here and surely not our last--we look forward to coming back to this property!"
