"Property was good, but i found grtting around the area inconvinient as everything was far away from each other. However there is a extensive tourist bus system so you could get to everywhere you wanted to go, it would just tske time "

"Stay was convenient. Although i did try to contact staff by email and phone i had no luck. But i also didnt book directly with the hostel so its not their fault either. Luckily there was somoene willing to help get in contact with staff. Bedding was comfortable enough, room was provided with air conditioning. But all in all its totally fine for a short stay. Right next to family mart and easy self check in ~ bonus!! "

"Had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at the fujiyama base. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. It was just a couple of minutes from the train station so that was a big plus. Would consider staying there again if we were in the area. "

"This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

"The ryokan at entrance was beautiful. The lobby and the whole lower floor was spectacular. Loved how walking inside your completely transported to a Japanese experience with bridged walkways shaped of arcs and where there was ponds underneath lthose bridges. Right before entering the onsen, on either men or women, there's an amazing walkway Japanese decorated pathway that leads to their very own and waterfall. "古民家を綺麗且つ和モダンにリノベーションした素敵なお宿でした。スタッフは常駐していませんが、きちんと連絡もとれ安心して過ごせました。駐車場は無く、宿の前のコインパーキングを利用するのですが何も不便は感じませんでした。個人的に不便と感じたのは2点。 Ⅰ　古民家故、階段がかなり急でありほぼ梯子で手摺を利用しないと登れません。シニアや3歳未満には昇降が難しいです。（客室は二階のため階段を登らないと客室には入れません） Ⅱ バケーションレンタルの形式ですが、キッチンはあるのですが別料金なのか施錠されており使えず、電子レンジもお部屋側にはありません。（お弁当などは歩いて2分ほどの場所にデパートがあり地下で美味しいお弁当が手に入ります。コンビニも徒歩圏内です） Ⅰ.Ⅱを含めても、総じてオススメできる宿です。お部屋もゆとりある設計で寛げます。オススメできるお宿です。 "

"The staff are very accomodating and very welcoming. They picked us up from and sent us to the train station for free. They offered us ( 5 people) a ride with a ¥2000 fee to lake kawaguchi. They also offered to pick us up from the Fujikawaguchiko masjid back to the guesthouse for the same rate later that night but they did not turn up . Instead, they told us to get our own taxi as they have picked up another customer. Luckily we got a help from the masjid cafe staff who called a taxi for us. We...

"The cabin was very nice. I was late to check in by 10 minutes but I let the front desk know and they gave me another option to pick up my key. They ended up waiting for me anyways which was very sweet of them. Had a great stay!"

"I think HAOSTAY is very value for money as the rooms are big (as of Japan standards) and it offers a great view of Fuji from the room window and rooftop. The Japanese or sandwich breakfast options were great. It is a 15 min walk from the train station which is manageable. For transport to the train station, they have fixed vehicle trips at 9am, 9.30am and 10am. It is recommended to book them the night beforehand as there are only spaces for approx 7-9pax. All in all, I would definitely come back again if I were to go to Kawaguchiko."

"This hotel is a terrific bargain if what you're looking for is a well-priced, great location, attentive staff, and on-premises onsen. If you're sensitive to the smell of decades of tobacco use, this hotel is not for you. If you're tolerant of this issue and want the opportunity to enjoy windows that open, and old-school amenities and service, you will enjoy this hotel as much as I do. "
