"My family and I had a great time celebrating Thanksgiving at this beautiful home. There were 17 of us including 2 children. The house was clean, beautiful and spacious. The garage with the games was perfect to relax and play games with the family. The host quickly answered texts and raised the temperature to what we asked for within 5 minutes. We have no complaints at all. We highly recommend this house to stay with large groups. The only suggestion for the host is better outlining of the...

"The property itself was lovely. We enjoyed our stay. It is close to the mountain biking park and great trails. The master bed was very soft (like, sink-into-it soft). The little stream and firepit outside were very nice. The only thing that left a bit of a sour taste was the high cleaning fee (and high cost in general) for a property where we had to make the beds, unmake the beds, wash all the dishes, and drive the trash to a locked dumpster ourselves (using a key that we then had to return to...

"Nice place. It took some adjustment to get used to the first and second floors not being connected. I did have an uninvited visitor run across the room and under the fireplace on Saturday night. (mouse).All in all a thumbs up."

"We travel to Altoona fairly often and this is our "Go To" hotel. After staying at a few other Hotels, The Fairfield is consistently at the high standard. Rooms are clean and comfortable. The Breakfast is Good and Hot. it's worth the few extra Dollars for what you get."

EVERYTHING was perfect, & close to the Mishler

"I have stayed at this hotel maybe 5-6 times in the last several years. Walkable to the Mishler Theatre, only 2 blocks away! VERY VERY clean, and that is #1 for me. Unlike most hotels, it actually has a nice hip little bar. Modern and upscale decor in all the public areas; and the comfy bed/bedding was just perfect. Lots of pillows, lots of towels, all shower toiletries provided. I was not crazy about having to pay $25 for early check-in, but they waived it as I am sort of a regular, and it was only a half hour earlier. In the evening I had a bit of a scratchy throat, and the front desk located some salt for me to gargle with, and looked for honey also; very nice about accommodating me with these requests. Parking is great. Both in front or back, there is an entry to the hotel right there (a room card is required at the back door), and it is well-lighted. Super clean, super safe, super close to the theater, even closer to Tom &Joe’s Diner, where you can get amazing breakfasts and sandwiches (locals love it), and not far at all from a few delicious Italian restaurants. I highly recommend the Wingate! Will definitely go back."
