"They were unaware that I had booked the room and were going to cancel my reservation. Being in a foreign country this would have left me in a very unsafe scenario. The staff eventually agreed to let us stay and prepared the room. They made us breakfast the following day which was delicious. The room did not have a garbage and no soap was available at the time of check in. Overall would not go back given the cost of the room."

"Great personal attention. The flight was 3 hours late so did not get to Shine until about 3 AM. They had left the light on and were waiting for us. Made sure we were well taken care of. It is located a little ways off the main road from the airport to Kampala. If you do not need to stay in Kampala, it is a great retreat."

"The hostel is located off of the main road and outside of downtown. It's cheap, clean, and the staff are polite, but it isn't very convenient. Also they advertise free breakfast but do not provide one. They have hot water for tea and then send you up the street to the local store to buy bread, as that's the only thing available to eat in the store. "

"Excellent service, but it is outside of Entebbe, and the internet is very poor. The host is amiable and goes over and beyond to make his customer comfortable. The problem is you can spend a long time getting there, and a taxi asks 90 dollars to drop you off. Beautiful place overall"
