This newly renovated beach themed 2 bedroom, sleeps 6. Private beach is a five minute walk. This unit has a unique and fresh look and feel. From the artist inspired kitchen to brand new beds, water was our inspiration. The cozy living room has all you need to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of Manasota Key. Watch the 55" flat screen, play some games or use the lightning fast wifi. This unit has all new appliances, mattresses and bedding. This palm tree oasis awaits.

Welcome to Starfish Stays. Our little piece of paradise is a two minute walk to a pristine private beach on the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Starfish Stays is setting the standard on Manasota Key as one of eight units at Starfish Stays on the unique Manasota Key of Southwest Florida.

Starfish's beach is great gorgeous morning walks, shell and shark teeth collecting, swimming, sitting under an umbrella, basking in the sun or watching the most beautiful sunsets of the Gulf. Plenty of complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels in the unit. Two custom built outdoor showers hit the spot to rinse away the sand and salt. We make it easy for you to relax and enjoy your vacation.

The grounds of Starfish feature a beautiful pergola complete with gas fire pit, bbq, cornhole games and seating for eight!

The fantastic Stump Pass is 3 miles south of the property. Here you can fish, hike the nature trails, launch a boat or kayak or just relax on the secluded beach. Stump Pass is an excellent location for finding shark teeth. Parking is only $3 per day.

Blind Pass is one mile north on the key. There are nature trails, docks for fishing, kayak launches, and playground and picnic areas. There are public restrooms and outdoor showers as well as more beautiful beaches. Parking is free here and abundant.

Starfish Stays was completely renovated inside and out. Our property features 8 total vacations units. 1A is brand new and was completed November 2019. Everything is new down to the stainless appliances, queen size beds and custom countertop. Starfish 1A boasts two brand new queen beds, one in each bedroom, and a sofa bed w/ upgraded brand new memory foam full size mattress for added comfort in the living room. We offer a fully stocked kitchen, full bathroom, and all linens.

Starfish Stays has eight units on the same property! Four two bedroom units, 3 studios, and a one bedroom unit. We can accommodate larger groups in several units.

We have our own private beach access, a TWO minute walk to the sand. Looking to avoid the big beach crowds? Our private beach is wide, sandy and PRIVATE.

Great location, short walk and good access to the beach and canal, nice and very clean place, very helpful and friendly owner Paula and her helper Tiffany. Not far away from the island's restaurants, gift shops and food stores, Walgreens. Definitely recommend this place.

We had a wonderful time; beach and stores were close. Our host helped us enter and was available to answer questions. The apartment was perfect for 3 people and a lovely space to hang out.

Everything was as described! Clean, close to everything, easy to contact the hosts and the arrival gift was a pleasant surprise! If you plan to stay, you will not be disappointed! The beach is right across the street! Restaurants all within walking distance or short drive. My only suggestion to the hosts would be to number the units with the building number too. We had unit 1A, I went to the wrong Unit A at first and didn't realize it until another couple staying told us the other building was 1. Not a huge deal, just a thought 😎

We spent a week at this property. It worked very well for the 2 of us. It was nicely equipped with everything we needed. We had a lot of questions for the owners. They responded immediately and never made us feel like we were bugging them. Scot and Paula were very generous in accommodating a special request - having a few of our parents' friends for dinner (all octogenarians) because the owner of the unit they were staying in considered it a party and wouldn't allow it. The only reason I rated the location 4 stars is because the unit is right on the main street, but that's a lot of Manasota Key.

For the cost, we expected this to be more of a 4 or 5 star experience. I had some issues that I attempted to address with the property manager privately on check-out day like: getting a call at the time of check-in informing us the electronic door lock was broken to the front door, the toilet and sink were leaking in the middle of the night in the only restroom, and there was dog hair present. But the property manager only addressed the leaking toilet and sink, without any apology, no making it right, and accusing me of going against VRBO policies. As I told the property manager, I would expect (as I’m sure future guests would as well), that everything is working and cleanly as listed. Unfortunately that was not the case for us on our visit.

Starfish Stays
My husband and I spent 3 weeks in Unit 1A of Starfish Stays. The property manager, Stephanie, greeted us at the car and helped us carry our luggage up the stairs to the unit. She is so friendly and helpful. The unit was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed, including beach towels, chairs, umbrella, fishing rods, and beach toys for children. There were plenty of extra bathroom supplies, such as towels of all sizes and toilet paper, bath soap, hand soap, and even a small tube of sunscreen! The kitchen was well supplied with all the essentials we needed. We couldn’t figure out how the TV worked but a phone call to the owners cleared that up. The ceiling fan in the front bedroom is noisy, so we didn’t turn it on. The rug in the living room has a turned up corner - it just needs to be spun around so that corner is in a place where nobody can trip over it. We love Starfish Stays, and have already booked our stay for next year!

Beautiful and Peaceful
This condo was beautiful and in a very peaceful setting. I was looking for a place to escape to for my first wedding anniversary since my husband died, and this spot was amazing. Particulars to help you decide to rent this location: * Kitchen is fully stocked with plates, silverware, pots, skillets, bowls, cups, mugs, serving utensils, spices, a Keurig, a teapot, a full size refrigerator with a freezer drawer, an oven, and a microwave. *Dining room has a table with four chairs. It is a glass top table with placemats and cloth napkins. *Living room has a sofa and a love seat and large screen TV mounted on the wall. There is a Monopoly, Jenga, Taboo game and two decks of cards. The TV has cable. *Both bedrooms have a comfortable bed with quality sheets. Each bedroom have tile floors, a large closet (bring your own coat hangers, there were only a couple in the house), and extra pillows. There is also a full size dresser in each bedroom. *The bathroom has a tub and shower with a frosted glass window. *There is a linen closet right outside the bathroom with towels, handtowels, wash clothes, beach towels, sheets, extra duvet covers. The towels are the most amazingly soft towels I've ever used (I actually came home and bought some for my home). *Additionally, this unit is on the second level, which is not easy to ascertain from the unit description (but it's completely okay, just something to be aware of if you have mobility issues). You can bring animals, which was wonderful. There are several access points to the beach (both public and private) within easy walking distance. The closest point is about a 3 city block walk. The beaches are great to pick up shark teeth and beautiful shells. *The owner of the property was wonderful. The response time to any message was never more than 30 minutes. And the information provided was thorough, but more importantly, I was never made to feel like I was bothering them. To sum it all up, this property is amazing. You cannot go wrong staying here. I have never been so pleased to leave a review as I am to leave this one.

Great Getaway Place with Gorgeous Beaches
We really enjoyed ourselves and only wish we had booked a longer stay. The place was very well located and close to public beaches and restaurants and retail shops. There were all kinds of floats and boogie board, fishing rod, and beach chairs available to use. My only critique is the need for more pillow options, otherwise, everything was fantastic. The beaches here look like you are in the Bahamas with the beautiful green water!!

What a great place! Less than 5 minute walk across the street to quiet beach away from the larger crowds down by public beach. Very clean property. Older but recently redone nicely and tastefully. Owners are great and very available when needed. Plenty to do close by. We plan to go back again one day!

Great beach getaway!
Wonderful little beach apartment-had everything we needed, including beach chairs, umbrella & toys. Nothing fancy, but clean, neat and plenty of kitchenware so we could cook there (it did take us a day before we figured out the dish soap was in the dispenser attached to the sink!). Lovely, quiet beach is just across the road, easy walk. The property is right on a somewhat busy road, just to take into account if you have kids. We took advantage of the grill for a few meals & the kids loved the bright lights on the palm trees at night. Many sea turtle nests seen, shark teeth collected & waves splashed in! Looking forward to another visit to Manasota Key in the future!
