"Our memories of this hotel are a bit rosy as the night before we had stayed unintentionally in a hovel. This hotel appears designed more for locals than international guests but it had all the things that keep us happy - good sized room, a big comfy bed, lots of hot water, good WiFi, and somewhere to eat and drink if you arrive too tired to go elsewhere. As we get older we really appreciate this! Staff were friendly and helpful. It's not 5 star or close, but good value for money. "

"From US: My wife and I absolutely loved this property up on the side of the mountain overlooking the city. Spectacular at night looking down on the city lights. Property is located close to several trails, foxes often seen on the property, owner picks you up at the bus station for free (it is a .5 mile walk up to the property) The property owner, 'Paula' was a great host, very friendly and inviting. "This is an amazing wellness spa/resort. The landscape is beautiful and everything about this place speaks peace. From the two pool (one is indoor) to the restaurant and the friendly staff, Chamonix is a the perfect place for a retreat. My room had balcony and from there we could see the outstanding views even in a rainy day. The restaurant and the massage services are fantastic. I can't wait to go back. "
