Although this house was a bit off the beaten path, it was a wonderful location, set quietly and privately on a shallow lake. Everything was well-stocked and clean. We enjoyed our stay and exploring the area. Our only disappointment was finding out we were not allowed to use the basement rec room, but still expected to do laundry down there. That was not mentioned in the write up and supposedly cost extra- again, never mentioned! That should b included, and if it’s a question of damage, take out any valuables. My only other suggestion would be to take away the shallow step at the front door. It’s not needed, but blends in with the deck and caused all of us to trip - one fall- at some point going into the house.

A little piece of heaven
We had a wonderful stay! Beautiful place, quiet and very private. Lake was warm and great for fishing and kayaking. Saw deer in the woods. 30-45 mins from Acadia depending on traffic. The house is very well equipped for cooking. Ww hope to stay here again in the future! Thank you Karen!

Unbelievable view/location
The house is located on the edge of the lake in a peaceful area. The interior was immaculate and the views from the master bedroom, living room, guest bedroom and rear deck were awesome. Karen made our stay great I would recommend anyone get a chance to stay here!

We loved our stay! Karen’s place is quiet and remote with a fantastic view of a lake/pond. No neighbors and a private road were an added bonus. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.

A beautiful property near Ellsworth
The house is beautifully appointed and very clean. Mini splits kept us cool on hot days. The house is right on the lake and we saw and heard af gorgeous loon calling. Highly recommend!

Clean, spacious, well equipped house with stunning lake view
Very nice place! Beautiful lakeside view that faces the sunset, with a nice beach/swimming area a minute away on foot, through some trees. Also kayaks available for rent which is a nice amenity, although we didn't have time to use them.
House is very clean and spacious, kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with pots/pans, towels, shampoo and soap, etc. Interior design is also very pretty. Owner owns most of the area around the property, so it is very quiet.
About a 7 minute drive to Ellsworth, so not too far from Acadia, only a half hour away.
Communication with Karen was prompt and easy - there was an unexpected problem with a water heater the first day (before we checked in). She provided frequent updates on the status with us as we were driving up to Acadia and managed the situations before we got there.
Karen is very nice and owns an antique shop in Ellsworth, and let us borrow some movies to watch!
