Intimate cottage near Acadia national park
We are in the country on a large lake away from the tourist crowds. Yet we are close enough to the national park, Bar Harbor, Northeast and Southwest Harbors, Blue Hill, Castine and other Downeast towns for easy day trips. Come enjoy the sounds of loons, waves and frogs at night. See stars without interference from city lights. Enjoy fishing and kayaking in the lake. Have fun exploring the hiking trails of Acadia, the bike and carriage paths, or the scenic roadways of the park. Visit the farmers’ markets, occasional craft show or the Blue Hill agricultural Fair around Labor Day. Or sit on the deck next to the lake, read a book , and relax. We have two kayaks available for use at the cabin. They are equipped with paddles life vests and cushions.

Everything was wonderful! Look forward to future visits. Make sure you kayak the lake it was amazing. Very convenient to Acadia and we also did some local hiking.
We loved our week at this charming, comfortable and thoughtfully-appointed cabin. We kayaked, swam, rode our bikes, and relaxed while enjoying the fabulous view. Highly recommended!
View was perfect. Listening to the waves on the shore was relaxing. Cabin was clean and comfortable. Location was easy to access and Bar Harbor was an enjoyable drive.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this lovely little cabin right on the lake! It was very homey and comfortable. I really enjoyed being able to sit in the living room and enjoy beautiful views of the lake through the large windows. It’s a little off the beaten path but well worth the trip to get there. Easy access to the charming town of Ellsworth and just a short drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Thanks, Rob, for your hospitality and for being a wonderful host!
Even though other reviews mentioned it, I was amazed how well supplied the cabin was. The view was lovely with a nice deck. Comfortable bed, lots of seating options, Wi-Fi worked great, and there was even a working kerosene lamp we could use during a brief power outage. Communication with hosts was swift and pleasant. It is a little bit of a drive to Acadia, but a nice retreat to come home to after a day of exploring. Nearby Ellsworth has excellent grocery stores. We enjoyed our stay!
Great place to stay. A bit farther from Acadia than I was thinking, but beautiful place.
Great place. Clean, really well equipped, comfortable bed. Beautiful view of lake. Quiet. Really everything we hoped for.
It took us almost an hour to get to Acadia/ Bar Harbor, and traffic waiting to get off Desert Island in evening, so you might not want to plan a lots of visiting Acadia. But wonderful house/ location and hosts. We would definitely come back to the house if in the area. For us it was worth the driving.
This is a cozy cabin tucked just above Graham Lake on a shaded property. The windows in the main room and deck have great views of the water. The lake is down a short staircase with a rock beach. The home is comfortable and clean, with appliances and facilities that make it easy to prepare meals. A perfect size for a couple, with places to sit and enjoy the view. The easy access to Ellsworth restaurants and reasonable drive to MDI are a plus. Hosts are responsive and helpful.
We stayed for a week in this great little cabin which sits right at the edge of Graham Lake. It is a cozy space ideal for a couple. The kitchen is well stocked and equipped. We enjoyed being able to get lakefront views from the large windows, and kayaking around the lake. Trips to Acadia are reasonable during summer tourist season (under an hour away). Any small issues we had were resolved quickly by the owner. Lake levels were nice and high during our stay but do fluctate.
WOW....Beautiful cottage with a gorgeous view, we couldn't get over how stocked this camp was. The have EVERYTHING! Lots of wildlife too, we saw an Eagle come down and grab a fish out of the water just a few yards away from us, lots of Hummingbirds, Loons and chipmunks. I loved relaxing in the recliner and looking out over the lake AND the heated seat on the toilet🥰, it's the little things for me...lol
This cottage is very peaceful and in a great location. The host Rob and Deb were awesome to deal with, very responsive.
My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much! The lake is beautiful and we enjoyed watching the clouds and the wildlife all around (though we did not access the lake). We found the cottage an ideal refuge with easy access (under an hour) to all of Acadia and the nearby harbors. We also enjoyed the Blue Hill Fait. The cottage is fabulously supplied and adorably decorated. The bed was comfortable and we wanted for nothing in terms of kitchen items and small appliances. The hosts were immediately responsive by text to our questions and they gave us lots of great ideas for restaurants and local and Acadia sights. We would love to stay again!
The spacious living room had beautiful views of the lake. The bedroom was quite comfortable. We used the two kayaks several times and found this area of the lake to be excellent and sheltered for kayaking and fishing. We saw a woodpecker, loons, a rabbit and fox during our stay. The kitchen and whole cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed. About 1/2 hour from Ellsworth and an hour from Acadia National Park which made fun day trips. The owners were very responsive to our communications. We found our stay very enjoyable, peaceful and quiet. A great get away.
Deb and Rob’s Cabin is truly a delight.
The Perks:
-Location- off the beaten path enough that you feel like you can relax, but still within driving distance of major attractions like Acadia
- Amenities- having a comfy king sized bed, air conditioning, newer appliances, and functional wifi are a huge plus
- Responsiveness- Deb and Rob were two of the most friendly and accommodating hosts we have ever worked with
We did have some hiccups during our stay (power issue and a few flies), but that is to be expected with newer rentals. Deb and Rob easily made up for it with their communication alone. None of these would stop us from rebooking or offering a high rating - and it shouldn’t stop you either :)
I’ve been to Maine often and it’s one of my favorite places but this was the first time for my husband. He’s traveled all over the world but hadn’t seen this special part of America.
We had a great time exploring Acadia, Blue Hill, Ellsworth and even made it up to New Brunswick to visit Roosevelt’s Campobello. Rob and Debs cottage was perfect base to really enjoy our stay. The kitchen has everything you need and the king bed was a real treat, not to mention the heated toilet seat!
We listened to the loons and took the kayaks out on the lake. Nextdoor neighbors are very friendly and knew Acadia well.
We looked forward to coming back after our day trips to a peaceful slice of heaven. Thanks Rob and Deb!
This is an extremely beautiful remodeled cottage nestled in the woods along Graham Lake.
My wife and I loved every minute we spent there, quiet, peaceful and full of everything you would ever need!
We spent a lot of time in Accadia National park and Bar Harbor since it was our first trip to Maine, and it wont be our last!
The whole area is easily accessible and easy to get a round. Highly recommend.
The Owners were awesome to deal with when we had a couple of questions., Very Personable!
Such a cute cottage! We really enjoyed sitting and relaxing on the deck, listening to the loons and watching the hummingbirds. The living room windows have an amazing view of the lake. And I really enjoyed cooking in the well stocked kitchen. It was a nice location for visiting Harborside and the Blue Hill area, as well as Acadia and Mt. Desert Island.

This camp was very lovely and was very well stocked with anything you could possiby need. Bed was very comfortable. Loved the view of the Lake! Great location if you wanted to explore downeast Maine's coast. Very quiet and relaxing.
This was a very comfortable house. The kitchen was definitely fully stocked. There’s a little country store in Otis which was very convenient and nearby. The owners promptly answered our questions. The view of the lake was enjoyable.
Amazing hosts that were super sweet and so accommodating to every question we had! They gave us so many good recommendations and responded to messages very quickly. Worked for sure stay here again, perfect for a Maine getaway!
Property was everything we hoped for and more. Very peaceful and plenty of amenities. This place was perfect for our little get away. Close enough to Acadia National park for day trips but far enough away to be away from the crowds. Highly recommend this place for People looking to unplug.
Host were great too. Communication and local tips were great!! Thanks Rob and Deb!!
Loved the place, clean and in a great location. Newly renovated, great communication and just what we needed. Only knock being the WiFi wasn’t installed yet, but was due to installer issues. Highly recommend!
