Luxury River front mountain home, located on widest part of Coosawattee River in Ellijay. Inside private gated resort, 5 miles from downtown Ellijay, and 22 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge. Lots of beautiful nature to enjoy, sounds of the bustling and rolling river, creek/waterfall on one side of house going back in woods. Lots of privacy. Outside hot tub, charcoal and smoker grills.

Perfect Weekend Getaway!
This cabin was perfect for our family. We love the location and the amenities offered. Jess was great to work with and was very accommodating. The only cons we had were we wish the cleaning would have been a little more thorough and to have the grass mowed. We had a little trouble at the guard shack when we first checked in, but this was at no fault to the property owner. We would definitely stay here again!

Great weekend
Made the trip with out of town friends for a getaway. The stay was great and enjoyed the town. The apple festival was great fun and the drive to Biggins BBq was worthwhile. The property is directly on the river which was beautiful. The property grounds were a little treacherous though so be careful walking around.

The cabin was fantastic. We had everything we needed to prepare Christmas dinner for our family. The river outside the cabin is amazing and the pictures do not do it justice. Thank you for allowing our family to have a home away from home in such a special occasion. We are planning our trip for next year!

Location...location....location
The pictures on the listing do no justice to this cabin. Being on one of the best riverfront lots on the resort is perfect enough. Walk inside and you immediately feel welcome with warm furnishings and plenty of mountain charm. Everyone in the family will find their escape here. It is certainly on our short list to return for future family get-aways.

Spacious, clean stay on the river
Despite multiple stays in Ellijay and at this resort, this was our first stay at this specific cabin, and it did not disappoint. Our whole family enjoyed how spacious and well stocked it was. But the best part was the location - a private spot right on the river. We spent a ton of time on the huge deck, in the hot tub, and by the river itself, with fall colors in peak season. We couldn’t successfully pull up much on Dish Network and it would be nice if the main level bathroom door locked properly, but those were minor concerns. We hope we can stay here again in the future.

Family Fun
Our family had a wonderful time. The Coosawattee River is more spectacular than the pictures. Jessica Hanna was very attentive. She texted to make sure we had no questions before our trip, during, and after. The beds were comfortable. The river was steps away. I could sit on the front porch watching the grandchildren fishing with their parents. The sound of the river is so soothing. River Rock brings a family together and away from the busy day to day life.

Rodent Droppings
We found rodent droppings throughout the house. Host omitted that there had been an issue earlier that week. Host nor VRBO doesn’t see this as an issue. We didn’t stay. Left immediately. To date no refund has been offered. Host was very rude. Waiting on VRBO to determine financial restitution.

Amazing views and nice place
I booked this for a get away for my husband and I. The chalet was beautiful and the views were even better. The owner was great! I learned we were the first ones staying in chalet after a renovation/updating. This would explain some of the minor issues and explain a few kinks that needed to be worked out. The tv/cable in the living room weren’t hooked up and the remote could not be found. This wasn’t a major concern, just a little annoying. Like I said, the property was AMAZING, but be warned, getting to the amazing place isn’t for the faint of heart. Lol. There are lots of curves, turns, ups and downs getting there, So, make sure you take everything you need/want from town because it’s an adventure getting there. I did love seeing all the deer and wild animals around. It’s very much a nature lovers dream. All and all, it’s a nice place and I would and have recommended it to friends and family.

Beautiful property with incredible views
Our family and in-laws visited during the week of Thanksgiving and had a fantastic stay. The home was well equipped with everything you could think of. The river is steps away and the views were unbeatable. The peaceful serene setting was the perfect way to spend a week with family. The hot tub was clean. The home is very convenient to Main Street, wineries, hikes, orchards, etc. Perfect place for families with children. Our 3 and 7 year old enjoyed the game room tremendously and spent hours at the waters edge skipping rocks. We found some trails right behind the property which our kids loved as well. We really enjoyed our visit.

Stunning location and very relaxing
My husband and I had a wonderful long weekend at this cabin!! The location was amazing with stunning views of the river & without having to take a thousand stairs to get down to the water. The kitchen was fully stocked to make any meal. The swinging bed was my favorite place to relax and the open air hot tub was the best hot tub we have ever enjoyed. Communication with the owner was clear and fast. We will definitely book again.

Family retreat
Relaxing at River Rock Mtn Chalet was wonderful.. Property is as described. Pictures are accurate, although in the summer months, there is much more greenery and grass. Wonderful location for tubing. Jessica was very helpful in telling us where we could park for easy tubing back to our cabin.This location offers easy access to step into the river. It was perfect for fishing and for our dog who loves to play in the water. Other places usually have a drop off embankment or lots of steps. This was easy access to the water. Cabin was nice and beds were comfortable. We loved the cushioned porch swings! (although porches themselves could use a good cleaning) Fire pit was perfect at night for smores (take the long metal roasting forks) Kitchen had all the things we needed to cook. We found that the hot tub would not heat, Jessica got someone out there ASAP. We definitely plan to return.

Beautiful and peaceful get away
River Rock Chalet was the perfect place for our family. There was plenty of space to spread out, but still felt cozy. The kitchen was very well equipped and there were plenty of linens and towels. The porch swings were a great way to enjoy the beautiful views of the river. Jessica is a great host and communicated very quickly to any questions or concerns we had.
