"This is a wonderful place to stay and a great base for exploring the Argyle coast. The hosts are extraordinarily nice and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay great. The place is cozy, right down the road from a lovely pub and restaurant, close to all of the Kilmartin sights, and easy to get to towns, hikes, and anything else you could want. Highly recommended."

"We had a great stay and the location was very close to Oban which was convenient. However the kitchen was very lowly stocked. Generally with our previous experience with vrbo, there was at least some oil for cooking, which was not the case here. Also, the toilets work very poorly and required flushing 3+ times for even a minimal amount of toilet paper which was a bit stressful."

"Enjoyed our visit to the Castle Sween as well as the Kilmory Chapel. The loop from Talbert to Killberry Castle was stunning. We had an excellent meal in Tayvallich (the mussels were huge) last night there would most definitely visit this area again"

"The house provides easy access both to Glencoe and Oban while being in an uncongested area. Cute, pleasant cottage, and very friendly and helpful host - I had gotten my dates wrong, and showed up a day early, but they accommodated us anyway. We are grateful!"

"A great property in a fabulous location and very well equipped too. Andrew was extremely helpful and responsive and we were made to feel welcome and valued. Red deer stags walking past your front door, a sighting of a pine marten, eagles soaring overhead and an otter swimming in the mirror like water. A little taste of paradise!"

"You could stay on that balcony for ages , a stunning ever changing vista! When the weather is wild the views are still fabulous and moody. The dining room a stunning setting for a small family celebration and the well equipped kitchen makes cooking easy. Very comfortable house & we enjoyed the family table tennis competition! Thank you"

"We had a great time at this home! The owners were very responsive when we had an initial hiccup with the heating which was much appreciated. Oban is a good home base for exploring the islands and Highlands and having a private parking space was a real luxury. Hiking up to the secret patio above the house for whisky or wine before dinner was fun, especially since the sun didn’t set until 11 when we were there. The views of the harbor from every room are gorgeous. We’d definitely rent here again!"

"Perfect place to stay. Excellent location, walking distance from everything including ferry and train station. Apartment has all amenities so you can cook and eat in, but is also very close to tons of restaurants etc. (including right next door). Nicely decorated place as well. Everything was clean and comfortable."

"Four of us (mum, dad and two adult sons) stayed for a week here. It proved the perfect base to enjoy the area. The house is quite small, as per the description, but it had everything we needed and the most stunning views across the bay. The light changes constantly and if you paint, bring your paints. Turner did and it’s obvious why!! Oban is within very easy reach for shopping, meals out, trips to the islands, the lovely Ganavan Sands and more. We had such a great time and we’d do it all again...

"We could have spent all our time sitting in the lounge or out in the garden enjoying the fantastic views of the islands. We were lucky with weather most of our stay so views were stunning. Only downside was the picture windows in the lounge had trapped condensation on them so the views were restricted somewhat by that. Enjoyed the walk up the hill behind the house most mornings. Great day trips to Mull, Seil and Easdale. Highly recommend the Smiddy cafe in Lochgilphead for coffee/cakes and...

"We were overwhelmed by this stunning house. It was large, roomy, comfortable, extremely gentile, and was surrounded by beautiful property and views. This is one of those out of the way places that you would never find on your own. For me, staying in a classic manor house like this gave me the chance to live, for just a few days, the way I imagine British nobility live when they visit the countryside. It’s a wonderful place to stay If you just want to relax and take walks, and watch the mountain...
