"We had a very disappointing stay in this apartment in July. Both the apartment and the owner fell far below our expectations, especially given how expensive the place was. For details, read on. We had been assured by the owner that wonderful cross ventilation made air conditioning unnecessary, but this was definitely not the case in the summer heat. "A great few days in a small village. The local people welcomed us and showed us around the area. The village is in the hills where dramatic scenery is around every corner. The little house overlooks the village and has two terraces one facing the morning sun and one the evening. The house is very well equipped and ideal for a couple or family but the access involves a fairly steep path and some steps. The beaches are approx 10 km away"

Located in a very rural setting on the outskirts of a small village, this is perfect for a getaway from it all de-stress; close enough to the town of Gefyra and adjacent Monemvasia to ensure all needs can be easily satisfied. "5 stars! The Elea Mare is a fabulous value in an authentic Greek coastal village, run by a host (Greg) who personifies customer care. We can’t praise him enough for the warmth of his interactions with us! As an example, our young-adult daughter became mildly sick during our stay, and Greg provided tea and offered to check up on her when we left her in the hotel by herself for half a day. The hotel is a short walk from a small beach and town harbor and near several excellent dining options....
