The front desk staff helped us several times with transportation - called a water taxi for us to explore other areas that weren’t accessible by tuk tuk or taxi, arranged transportation to Tikal, and to and from the airport. "We absolutely loved our stay at Camino Real Tikal! We enjoyed the hotel and the lake beach was so beautiful and the water was crystal clear. The staff went above and beyond for us in many ways, always greeting us with a smile and the best attitude. The hotel was being remodeled and we couldn't enjoy the jacuzzi and other parts of the property. Also, the food choices are very limited and if you want other options you need to go outside on a cab or something like that. The breakfast buffet was so good though. Other than that, everything was exceptional. We're definitely coming back."

"La Lancha is an amazing place to stay if you like nature. We enjoyed every minute during our stay. The staff is very accommodating and provides excellent customer service. We enjoyed the sauna (temascal), swam in the lake and the hotel crew helped us coordinate a boat sunset trip to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. The sauna and boat is at an additional cost but is definitely worthy, They offer free continental breakfast and the food is good! We rented a car in Peten which gave us the freedom of enjoying the whole area. But if you just want to enjoy the hotel is a good option too, its very relaxing, there’s a swimming pool and a mirador with a beautiful the lake view.there’s a lot of stars and it’s tiresome sometimes to go up and down but it was part of the experience that made it unique.. we did not have to worry about working out lol!"
