Not suitable for a winter holiday
The new solar panels and solar water heating did not get enough time in the sun to provide hot water and power/heating for winter. The house was very cold, our breath steamed in the mornings. In the evening the inside temperature was frequently only 12C with the heater on. It was also damp, with water running down the inside of the windows every morning and the interior of cupboards smelled musty.
The bed linen and towels are old to the point of being threadbare, the double mattress has a ruck in it and the children’s pillows look unusable.
There was a large garden with some interesting plants and great views of the mountains, but it was spoilt by builder’s rubbish being left strewn around.
If you are not keen on driving on tiny roads, be aware that the last part of the approach is along very narrow roads with minimal passing places.
