"This is a quiet spa resort in the countryside. I stayed as it is dog friendly and needed an overnight on way through the area. Very nice place. A bit dated. Lots of people on package tours. The restaurant is decent, and the prices are fine. The gardens are lovely. Unfortunately I was unabelt o try the spa facilities but definitely will come again. "

"Overall, this was good. But some comments: Advertised as Adults only. It wasn’t. That does not mean the children who were around were a problem - they were not. We suspect the hotel has been modernised. And reasonably well too. But nowhere in the bathroom to hang towels, no fridge, no tea/coffee facilities. But the staff were also very helpful (even though very little English was actually spoken despite being advertised). But we got through with their helpfulness. "

Llegas, la puerta de entrada está siempre abierta, subes a la primera planta y en la mesa están las llaves con tu nombre, la coges y te vas a la habitación. "This property is a very clean, functional, well-kept property that does not pretend to be anything beyond a clean place to get a good night's sleep. Nobody answered the locked door when we arrived (6pm) so we rang and rang the bell. We finally went around to the side and found an open door. We went in and found the reception desk and were joined a few minutes later by the owner ... who had just stepped out for a moment I guess. He didnt speak english so we settled on French and got the paper...

"We traveled to Fermiselle to trace my family roots as my great grandfather immigrated to Cuba from there in the 1920’s. To say that the manager was accommodating would be an understatement. "Our apartment was very modern but the property still has a very historic and, especially, authentic country feel. Very much appreciated the wood stove at that time of year. Only critique was lack of any American TV. While we don't particularly travel to Portugal to watch TV, when we stay in country places at this time year we don't relish driving after dark. Next time we'll know to have our tablet ready for movies."
