"The hotel was not far from the Plaza Vieja which was good. But the area it was in was typical of most of Havana - run down and grubby. The hotel had been restored nicely and the rooms sympathetic to the original style and fairly basic. Don’t expect hot water. The staff were really, really nice and helpful."

We also went out salsa dancing with host and friends on a couple of occasions, and he organised a collectivo for us on departure to Vinales. "The landlord and staff were amazing and became my friends. I needed looking after as i was ill and had lost my luggage. They went above and beyond to do what they could and make sure i was ok and provide me with essentials. The casa is amazing too. So don't even think... book this.
