"Very safe as use a key card for the lift and main entrance after 10pm. Staff were wonderful and so friendly. Room immaculate and beds comfy. Beautiful views over the hills. Breakfast was excellent. Eggs made on request and everything you could wish for at the buffet. Lovely and quiet. Would recommend."

"We really enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel. We were stopping over on our way to a skiing holiday. We had booked a family room and it was great. The staff were very welcoming, with a quick and efficient check in/out. We ate in the restaurant for our evening meal and breakfast, both were top notch. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope to revisit in the future. "

"Very nice hotel with a great sauna that wasn’t super busy, restaurant had delicious food with a nice views, private beach on the lake was really enjoyable and even though our room was 300m up a very steep hill (and we had no car) the views were well worth it. Only downside was there was no spa treatments or massages available as the person was on leave. This town is definitely a place where you want to indulge in such activities, especially in peak August season. Would recommend staying here....

"Lovely remote chalet that is still ideally situated in the black forest to visit, with a short drive, the clock makers and glass blowers and triburg falls. Owners are very friendly, the food is excellent, and the rooms are comfortable."

Lovely stay at a beautiful house

"The house was beautiful, very clean, and in great shape. It is literally on the mountain side. We went with two small children and my parents, and there was space for everyone. We cooked all our meals on site, and all the amenities worked well. The bedrooms were all comfortable. WIFI internet was recently added, which was very helpful. The location is really beautiful, and as described is pretty secluded. We did two of the nearby trails - very beautiful walking trails, with waterfalls and amazing views. One was pretty challenging (Zweribachwasserfälle, as described - bring good shoes) and one was easier for the small kids, but both were great. A few notes - the house is further out from the center of Simonswald than we originally thought (~25 minutes) and is ~50-60 minutes from Freiburg. Definitely do your shopping first! Also, the roads are something to be aware of, for those unfamiliar with the location - some are very narrow and winding in some areas, use caution, and plan ahead. Relaxing in Sankt Margen

"Lovely hotel with a family feeling and ideal for hiking lovers!!! This place is ideal for a phone, social media rehab as the surroundings are mesmerising . Quiet town where you can get really bored but very pleased in the same time. Staff very attentive and helpful when needed."

Tannehüsle large - quiet, with a south-facing view

The Perfect Location

"This house is a gem! We loved our time and were sad to leave. The location is spectacular: a quiet neighborhood, beautiful view, within walking distance of a grocery store, bank, bakery, and restaurants. It is in a central location for hiking, swimming, etc. The house was very clean, comfortable beds, and a kitchen with very possible thing you could ever need. We would give 15 stars if we could! Highly recommends staying here."

"The manager and every single member were incredible! Every small favor we asked for they found a way to help our group. The dinner was superb. The breakfast was very complete and fresh. The lady who bakes the breads was just the most wonderful professional. We loved this team and all they do. And you have to love the view of the mountains and the church bells ringing down the valley. "
