"What a wonderful stay! The hosts were so welcoming, making you feel like a guest in their home. My room was lovely and clean, with thoughtful touches throughout. I visited at Christmastime, and there were even a couple of decorations in the room. Breakfast was fantastic. If you are staying upstairs, the stairs are very narrow and steep, which made me a bit nervous with a big suitcase, but the kind host helped me carry my suitcase up and bring it back down. "Positives: 1. Can’t beat the locations 2. Breakfast was good 3. Room was spacious 4. Beds very comfortable Negatives: 1. They sent the wrong wifi information which required emails to sort out. If I didn’t have a data plan this would have been quite problematic 2. Shower has great water pressure but the water does not get hot enough for it be enjoyed 3. Room was cold and damp and heater in the room did not work"

"Great little room on the second floor - got excellent service, the breakfast was delicious and very nicely presented. Close to the beach, the supermarket is just in front and the hosts are friendly, service-minded and kind. Hope to come again when I need to escape and do some writing :-)"

"Stayed here with my partner for a couple of nights. Location was great as the trams were directly across the road. I noticed that single beds were included in most rooms, however I asked if I could have a double bed and they were able to accommodate this. Staff let us put our bags in storage until we could check in, and also when we checked out. Great stay! Thanks "

"I loved this hotel so much, it was really a great surprise! The location is perfect; you are within walking minutes of Zaandam station. The station is around 25min away from Schipol Airport and 20min to Amsterdam Centraal station, so it's a perfect alternative in terms of hotel instead of paying double price for a hotel in Amsterdam. You are also not too far away from the Zaanse Chans Windmills, you can take bus 69 to go there directly. The room is very specious (we had the TASTE Deluxe room) and we really liked the cheese theme wall of our bedroom. The room is clean and well maintained by the staff. The reception staff was also friendly. Overall, I am so glad I choose this hotel for its convenience and value for money. Also, you will see a lot of people taking pictures of it from the outside as it is very peculiar and the 'image' of Zaandam's architecture. 10/10!"

Excellent hotel

"The hotel is in a brilliant location just one stop to Amsterdam Central Easy for the airport and bus terminal there too. Staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. Room very comfortable, spacious enough and clean. Good continental breakfast Free drinks rather than towel change good idea. One small disappointment having to pay to leave luggage due to flight times, after check-out- €3 euros per person not terrible jyst unexpected I'd highly recommend the hotel brilliant value so thank you!! "
