Beautiful OceanFront Home 4BR! Large Covered Porch! Relax!

Four bedrooms, 2 baths of oceanfront heaven with direct beach access! Relax on our beautiful covered porch which sprawls across the entire oceanfront of our home; a cup of coffee in the morning while watching the sunrise will make you feel like a different person.

This is not the beach houses of the past; we have hardwood floors through out our home; granite countertop kitchen perfect for preparing that Frogmore Stew! British Colonial interior furnishings, hot and cold shower as you exit your beach excursion.

We sleep 12 so bring your family and friends; with covered parking for six cars it makes it easy!

TWO master bedrooms make this a perfect home for two families to share; with a private entrance on both of them which opens onto the covered porch with private direct beach/ocean views. Slip out and enjoy a stroll on the beach under the moonlight over the ocean.

Edisto is a beach for your family to enjoy each other; no traffic lights, no high rises; a beach where everybody knows your name.

Our weekly rate is for Sunday - Sunday weeks and if that won't for you we also have nightly rates to try to help you with your schedule.

We'll be back!
What a perfect spot for a family getaway! The covered deck was our favorite feature. From the deck we watched the ever-changing sea and skies from early morning sunrises to night time stars, high tides to low tides. We enjoyed it all!

Another fabulous week at Edisto
We loved celebrating family birthdays at Sandy Bottoms again this year. What a great house and setting for a leisurely week before the mad rush of the holidays. Our pups loved walking on the beach and frolicking in the ocean. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Great vacation house!
Great house for our family. Beachfront covered porch with great views for everyone. Spacious underhouse parking. Kitchen is very nice and had everything we needed. House was spotless on arrival. Pet- friendly house was a plus, our dog loved the porch. Would defiantly stay again.

Paradise
Such a great place to get my family together. We all fellin love with this place. Very nice well stocked kitchen where my sons made all of the wonderful meals using the freshest seafood. The beach was wonderful with spectacular sunrises and sunsets,a thunderstorm made it exciting. The best location. The only problem we had was that one of the drawers in the refrigerator had melted ice from shrimp in it which made the whole refrigerator smell. We kept washing the drawer but couldn't get the smell out. We're still talking about our great time. Hope to come back next year!

The perfect beach experience!
What a great house! The beachfront location made it so easy to come and go to the beach at our leisure. The view from the porch is spectacular! We elected not to watch TV or listen to music as we were mesmerized by the sound of crashing waves just outside our door. The house was beautiful and well set up. The pictures shown on line do not do it justice. It is obvious that the owners are proud of the house and take great care to make sure the renters have a wonderful experience. The rental company did an excellent job with communications and keeping us informed of anything we needed to know. This was our first visit to Edisto. We are already making plans to return and will schedule it around the availability of this house.

A True Ocean Front Home
This was by far the best beach home we’ve stayed in. The best part is without opening any windows or doors, you can hear the crashing waves. Coming from the mountains, this was a real treat, and natural lullaby while sleeping. The home was well equipped with all you need to prepare gourmet meals. We enjoyed the large covered deck overlooking that beautiful beach and vast ocean. Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. We’ll definitely be back!

Our trip to Sundy Bottoms was very enjoyable for the whole family. There was adequate room for all 10 people.
Enjoyed our visit very much. This is the first house our family has ever rented and if the occasion should ever arise again, I feel sure we would first to see if Sandy Bottoms was available

Paradise
Well we always try to find different locations to go on vacation but we may have found our go to spot. This house and location were amazing. The house is beautifully decorated and was very clean when we arrived. Everything worked fine and we had everything we needed in the house. The best part of this house is the location, right on the beach and the ocean can be seen from just about every room in the house except the two front roadside bedrooms. You can actually hear the ocean at night in the front bedrooms when everything is silent inside. The covered porch facing the ocean is one of the best places here, we stayed there a lot because you feel like you are sitting on the beach from here. Amazing property that will not disappoint! We had to cut our vacation short because of Hurricane Ian but that's ok we found our spot and can't wait to go back soon! The host was very responsive when we had a question and were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. Highly recommended if your looking for that perfect vacation spot.

Edisto Beach Winter Getaway
My husband and I wanted to have a few days away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We have always loved Edisto and have visited almost every year with relatives who live in the area. This year we wanted a place on the water with all the amenities, and room for our granddaughters to come and visit with their parents. Somehow I lucked out in finding a time that would work and a home that was appealing. We were not prepared for the beauty and comfort of the house until we opened the door. The house is very clean and comfortable, and it is flawlessly decorated with an appropriate beach-y theme. Four bedrooms with Jack and Jill bathrooms between them make for efficient use of space. Modern appliances provide for the renters’ needs. The fabulous beach is right outside the front, only a few footsteps (30) away. The deck extends further than surrounding houses, so your view is unobstructed in either direction. Shelling, beach combing, and bird watching have been great but the biggest treat came this morning about 10:30 when a large pod of dolphins entertained us by feeding right off shore. The fishing must have been successful because they continued, competing with the pelicans, for almost an hour. Being here for a week gave our two children time enough to bring our three granddaughters here for a visit. The girls were delighted to be at the beach and have time to play with each other. They have begged for another week at this great home, so we are ready to reserve a week in the early Spring. No other place will satisfy any of us after Sandy Bottoms. Thank you for this wonderful getaway. Ten stars if it were possible!

I love Sandy Bottoms and have stayed their with my family for over 10 years.
When I requested the need to repair a board on the stairs leading to the house, I was calling the wrong number. As soon as I called Edisto Beach Rentals, the repairman was out in less than an hour. He not only fixed that one step but reinforced all of them. I plan to book the house for next year and will set up the payment immediately to insure that I am able to get it. We loved the house with its location on the beach. The town is great and not so commercialized. We did have to scramble for dinner when a couple of the restaurants couldn’t take any more orders but understandable. Will definitely be back to this beautiful island!

Wonderful Family Stay!
We loved staying at Sandy Bottoms and are thankful that the owners shared their beautiful oceanfront home with us. The layout was fantastic! We had 10 people that stayed with us and we never felt crowded. The porch is amazing and further out than many of the neighboring porches so the view is the best. The beds were very comfortable (a little squeaky but nothing to whine about). One of my favorite things, other than the porch, was the very large family table with two benches on either side. We could fit all 10 of us at the table for games and family dinners. We cooked crab legs on the porch and also shrimp that you can get fresh off the boat at Edisto Seafood off Docksite Rd. There were a few books about Edisto island there that I enjoyed reading among others. There were also some games but they were in somewhat of jumbled mess as if younger children had gotten into them and the adults didn't put them back like they should have. We brought our own games so this wasn't an issue for us and everything may have been there but I didn't organize it to see. This was probably from the previous renters and no fault of the owners or agency. Renters should treat these homes and items in them with respect and, unfortunately, sometimes they do not. We were able to see a turtle hatchling hatch, found sharks teeth, made multiple runs for ice-cream from the little strip of shops, visited botany bay (Beautiful!), went fishing straight out from the house and caught a few things (brought rods and lures and bought squid and shrimp from the bait store off docksite road), went crabbing off of the "sound" right before Big Bay Creek (brought our own net, crab hook/weights on a string and bought our bait at the same bait shop), and enjoyed lunch at SeaCow, as well as Briny Swine. SeaCow was fantastic and had a surf shop and a children's store right there with it. Briny Swine was enjoyable but I would try some of the other restaurants before returning there. The kids (teens and young adults) found nice vacation shirts and other nice items at the small strip of stores there. We rented our linens from where they suggested and they were there when we arrived. We planned our dinners and brought with us in storage Tupperware as much groceries and snacks as we could. Then, we bought the rest at the Food Lion which was often very busy and quite small, so I was very glad we did. It was safe enough to let our older children walk the nearby blocks. For those that play Pokemon Go there were lots of gyms, pokestops and pokemon to be caught. Everyone enjoyed themselves and we plan to book again for next year. I will be very sad when we outgrow this house with grandchildren! If the owners read this review, thank you again for sharing your lovely home with us!
