This spacious apartment can host up to 8 adults across four generously sized bedrooms, and up to 2 children on roll-out beds. The property features elegant high ceilings and modern conveniences. Just minutes walk from museums, attractions, restaurants, bars, and the University of Edinburgh.

The apartment's well-appointed lounge offers a welcoming space for relaxing and socialising. Adjacent to the lounge, the fully-equipped kitchen and dining area make home-cooked meals and entertaining effortless.

Guests at The Gait @ Hill Square Suites can enjoy exclusive on-site amenities just a stone's throw from the property. Start your day with a delicious breakfast, indulge in a tasty lunch, or relax with bar services available throughout the day. For a duvet day, room service is also available. Additionally, guests can stay active at the on-site gym.

Did you know.... The name of our apartment is based on a horsey theme as the Playfair Building (the college’s flagship building) was built on the site of a former riding stables.

Booking Requirements -
One member of the booking party must be over 25 years. We require names and ages of all guests, as well as proof of address and ID of the lead guest. This is required within 2 days of booking.
We will require the lead guest to sign a copy of our terms and conditions. We reserve the right to vet any booking.

Our properties are protected by SUPERHOG, the digital trust platform that enables Hosts, Operators and Guests to confidently transact in the short-term rentals space.
Please note that once you have booked, you will be contacted by SUPERHOG directly to verify yourself and process a £500 deposit or £35 damage waiver. The damage deposit payment will incur a £10 fee. This superhog verification must be completed two weeks prior to check-in.

For corporate guests, business locations such as the Edinburgh International Conference Centre and many office spaces are a 25 minute walk through Edinburgh's leafy Meadows area, or a quick taxi drive away. Three Generation Family Vacation
This apartment worked out really well for my family trip to Edinburgh. We had 3 generations, totaling 8 family members and we had enough space for all of us. The host accommodated our bed needs and communicated promptly. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The stairs are a little wonky but we were just extra careful going up and down. We appreciated that the lights in the living room all had USB ports for charging. There were plenty of towels for everyone. The shared bathrooms are nice and they have towel warmers! One interesting thing about the apartment is that is affiliated with the hotel across the street. I did not realize we would get house keeping and could order room service (we did not, so I can’t say anything about that). The location was quiet and the one incident we had was promptly taken care of by the hotel staff. My sister and her husband went to the hotel breakfast buffet one morning and enjoyed it. One cool thing was that on Wednesday night the Surgeons’ Hall was having a formal dinner, there was a bagpiper at the entrance and we could hear him play from the apartment. We walked everywhere, except for my 87 year old father who took a taxi up to Edinburgh Castle. The hotel called for a pick-up for him. Overall it was an enjoyable stay.

Lovely Property
All three generations of our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Edinburgh flat. The size of the rooms and the character of the property were just a couple of the outstanding features but more importantly, the level of service we received from start to finish was top notch. Also location was perfect. Highly recommend!
