Spotlessly clean, well equipped and great location. Ideal base for visiting Edinburgh and Glasgow. Linlithgow Palace is definitely worth visiting. Perfect holiday home - we didn’t want to leave.

5 of us stayed here Monday to Thursday, we were all very impressed with the cottage, and the views around it were spectacular. There was everything you could need for a stay here.
The fishing lake, just a few yards from the cottage was beautiful, even if you don't fish, was lovely to walk around. The town of Linlithgow was just a couple of miles away, with an historical palace to visit, good rail links to Edinburgh and Glasgow and good restaurants and shops.
I would highly recommend these cottages, they are a great find. Enjoy!!
Well equipped, clean and perfect. Plenty parking, and bathrooms. Everything you need in kitchen with supermarket only minutes away.

Lovely break away
Lovely property, really helpful hosts. Ideally situated for Edinburgh and some good shopping in Livingston as well. The boys tried their hand a fishing but it was a wee bit cold for the fish.
Super dog friendly as well :)

Very clean and comfortable.
Jim and Jacqui were lovely hosts, we had a lovely weekend. Hot tub was a treat too, lovely views around and lovely local walks, our Labrador has a good time exploring the woods. Well recommended
It was a great stay but sadly we left earlier due to family complications.
The hot tub was also shared which was clear during booking. Although this was a great place to rent for families.

Fantastic holiday cottage
The cottage was set in a quiet location with excellent views and ample parking. The cottage had all the modern amenities to make our stay an excellent experience. The hosts were very friendly and happy to even let our dog walk with them. It was great to have the peace of the countryside but only be a short drive to the local towns and Edinburgh city.
Country isolation less than 1/2 hour from Edinburgh.
A week that had almost all we needed. 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms make it ideal for a larger family. Trout fishing within 50 feet of the cottage.
Only weakness was the beds are low (ikea type) and are well passed their comfort guarantee.
Clean, comfy and lots of living space. Super kitchen and bathroom facilities and proximity to places of interest. The biggest attraction was the view from all aspects...so peaceful...and the walk around the fishing lake-fabulous!
Our dog loved it too and she's fussy!
We could have stayed forever!
Carriber Cottages is absolutely fantastic. Three bedrooms, three bathrooms, large kitchen/living room, beautiful surroundings, friendly and helpful landlords who live on the property...even fresh eggs from the resident chickens! Short drive to Linlithgow and rail connecting to Edinburgh, Glasgow & beyond.
Wonderful traquil setting. Welcoming, friendly hosts. Well equipped kitchen. Clea and tidy.
Loved every minute. Views spectacular!

Great, spacious property in the country with beautiful views and room to explore. Stayed 5 nights in Dec 2022. Easy access to town & amenities as well as Edinburgh (20min train from Linlithgow), Stirling Castle & William Wallace Monument. Owners were friendly & welcoming. Would return in a heartbeat!

We loved Carriber Cottage - spotlessly clean, spacious. well equipped, modern, comfortable and convenient. You can park right outside, walk to the fishing lake or drive to Linlithgow station to take the train quickly into Edinburgh. Three large bedrooms and three full bathrooms - and the Feb a hot tub you can use. If you're driving up to Scotland it's ideal as a beautiful base to stay and explore from. Jim greeeted us on arrival and was friendly and welcoming. What a great find.

Absolutely beautiful
This cottage was a great surprise and absolutely beautiful. If you’re ready to disconnect from social media and take a break from our fast paced lives, this cottage is the answer. I rated communications with property manager less than 5 stars as we had difficulty reaching Jim and no information was provided ahead of time as to how to get there and the check in process. Since we were traveling via London from the US, this was unsettling. However once we made contact with him, they were extremely responsive to our needs and questions. A fantastic location and we would definitely return.
