No Keyfob in town......
Early signs were good as door codes to enter the apartment building and apartment was good. However on arrival there was no key fob in the safe box to enter the building. This resulted in numerous calls/texts with the host who said a cleaner would get a key fob to us. This did not happen and after waiting in the cold for an hour or so we blagged our way into the building and gained entry to the apartment. However we could obviously not go out as we had no fob to get back into the building! We later found a review from the Monday of the same week, saying exactly the same had happened, and the cleaner did not have a fob!! Therefore not only did the host already know about this, but obviously before we travelled. So should have been honest and contacted us beforehand giving us the option of cancelling and not travelling, and before we paid anymore money (the security deposit)!! And especially as there were major travel/weather warnings that we could have avoided. We cancelled the booking and luckily managed to find alternative accommodation for the next 2 days, but with no help from the host. So a terrible experience. The only redeeming actions taken by the host is that a full refund and return of our security deposit has been received quickly. The actual apartment is good, but you have to be able to fully gain access to appreciate it and enjoy any stay!!
