What a wonderful getaway home and the view was amazing. We will be back!
I really enjoyed my stay at this property. The owners are the best and provided me with points of interest along with lots of things to do. Very clean accommodation. The neighbors are welcoming and the neighborhood is quiet. Perfect place to relax.
What a place to relax and enjoy a spectacular view!
It was a wonderful place to stay and unwind from the hectic pace. This view is mesmerizing and the place was great. The hosts supplied an incredible resource of music CD's to listen to and their ear for music was right up our alley. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will return again in the future.
This place was exactly what we wanted for our romantic getaway. The huge glass doors with screens were what dreams are made of. Although it rained our full day there, being able to still enjoy the view from the couch made it feel like you were still outside. We are planning to come back when its warmer!
The bungalow was exactly as described. Got to see the beautiful sunset on our second night. Close to Edenton and convenient to sights and good restaurants. Very quiet and peaceful. Great place to relax and unwind.
This property was so quaint and relaxing. Every aspect of our stay was wonderful. The home was comfortable, clean and had a fantastic view of the Albemarle Sound. A short drive to downtown led us to fantastic restaurants and some fun historical sites. The owners were informative about the area and very easy to communicate with. All in all - a relaxing retreat spot that I hope to return to someday soon.
The house is very cute and well appointed. The whole front of windows showcased a gorgeous view of Albemarle Sound. Short rainy weekend but we would come back again to enjoy the dock and the deck.
The home was very comfortable and clean with modern upgrades. The location was very convenient and the view from the living room and deck was amazing! Hope to get back soon.
Such a beautiful spot to relax and unwind. This has become one of our favorite getaways. Edenton is quaint and full of history and this cottage on the sound provides everything you need for a few days away. Magical!
As amazing as the pictures look online, the views and sunset are even better in person. The way the house is positioned on the lot, all you see is water from the living room! Gorgeous. Highly recommend!
Perfect place to hang out and relax or wander the streets in town. Sunsets were incredible! Only negative was that there is only one coffee shop in town so it was a 20+ minute wait to get a cup, and they are not open on Sundays. But don't let that spoil an otherwise fabulous locale.
This was our first time in the Edenton area. Both the home and the town are lovely. The weather did not cooperate but the views of the Albermarle Sound were still wonderfully serene. The home is decorated so nicely, calming colors and very comfortable. It is well appointed with anything you would need. We had amazing food each time we ventured out. Thank you for your hospitality. Our stay felt like a home away from home.
Views of the sound and sunset magnificent!
Home is beautiful with 360 view of Albemarle sound, deck and lounge chairs completed outdoor relaxing. Gas grill, had steak one night !
Kitchen fully equipped with everything one would have in their own home.
Comfortable bed and additional covers if needed.
Tiled bath and large shower with low step for easy in and out. !
We were very impressed with how the home was appointed and decorated!
Will definitely be back !
You can't beat the view of the Albemarle sound from the living room and brand new dock below. Watched eagles catch their dinner right off the dock and my husband caught quite a few catfish himself. Bed and couch were comfortable. Got lucky with sunset one evening and words cannot describe the beauty. Edenton is quite charming. Downtown Roots made a mean Cuban sandwich and 309 Bistro & Spirits was wonderful! We day tripped to Elizabeth City (Museum of the Albemarle) and Fort Raleigh and Manteo (Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge). Hope to finish the history article Eric wrote about Cape Colony and Edenton on our next visit.
Don't hesitate to book if you enjoy long walks in a quiet neighborhood and relaxing with a view. Thanks Eric and Julianne!
Such a wonderful house. How does something so small feel so spacious? The whole place was clean, well organized and inviting. Oh, and so comfy.
If you like to be able to make a home-cooked meal while traveling, this is the kitchen to do it in. If you're a cook, you'll want for nothing.
And the amenities: I hope we can stay longer next time to advantage of all the fun stuff available to really enjoy the water. Sweet AV setup, too. Small TV, though, but anything bigger would detract from the terrific view (catch a sunset!)
10 minutes max to get to quaint little downtown Edenton and some local color. (Take it slow and enjoy the ride)
Owners went above and beyond on providing info about the space and the area. So thankful to them for making it so easy.
Can't wait to go back.
My wife and I took a short golf getaway and stayed here. This is a beautiful home and pictures just don’t do it justice! The view from the windows in the living room and outdoor porch was a canvas for some amazing sunsets!
This place had everything ! Everything from a large sectional couch and an outdoor deck with plenty of chairs that’s built around a tree, giving the feeling like you are in a treehouse. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen was nice and spacious! Outdoor grill was great! We were also impressed by the music collection! We took advantage of the bikes and rode around the lovely quiet neighborhood in the am. The neighbors are very friendly! Love the decor! We had a big thunderstorm and watched the sound churn up from inside the house , which was quite an experience!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home! We would love to stay there again!
