The location is excellent, close to the reservoir and it’s retaining wall for easy access to walking trails and within walking distance of the Netto supermarket. Walking maps are provided. "Lovely spot, only a minute walk from the station. Beatiful view of the snowy town, above a bakery and only 5mins from the shops. Room was lovely and roomey for two friends on a serendipitous 1 night adventure. Great heating and fancy tap which gives you hot water, mineral water, sparkling water and mild sparkling water! Also the check in was really cool and simple. Will definitely stay here again"

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Schmalkalden, and Ulf could not have been more welcoming, friendly and helpful both before, during and after our trip. This included picking us up from the station, and taking us there on leaving, as we were travelling by public transport. The apartment is in very good condition, appeared to have been recently decorated and was equipped with every modern facility you could need. We particularly enjoyed the sun-lounge, where we could relax and watch the sun go...

"I stayed at the Lange's property for a long business trip. The flat was immaculate when I arrived and just as advertised. The location is great, easy <5 minute walk to the town square with shops/restaurants, 10 min walk to the train station and very close to access the Wartburg trail system. The Lange family were great - all the amenities you would need, easy check-in/out and they even pre-stocked the kitchen with some necessities. I would certainly choose to stay here again."
