Start your mornings with coffee in the multi-level yard, where you’ll find quiet spots to enjoy stunning views of the surrounding bluffs. Just a 3-minute walk brings you to the Mississippi River, and you’re only a short drive from the Lynxville Dam and several convenient boat launches—perfect for fishing, boating, or simply soaking in the river’s beauty.

Inside, you’ll find a fully furnished retreat designed for comfort and fun. Enjoy:

We absolutely loved our stay. The pictures don’t do it justice - the space is beautiful and comfortable, and the view from the bedroom and outside is stunning. Beautiful sunsets.

Perfect getaway along the banks of the Mississippi
Wonderful stay inside and out. The Clemmersons have meticulously crafted this place to be a beautiful haven with perfect decor and cozy furniture throughout. The place has absolutely everything you need and if it's missing anything, Wendy is quick to respond to any questions. You cannot go wrong staying here, a gem in a beautiful location that you'll spend many hours exploring the beauties of the Driftless area. We'll be coming back for sure!

Very Pleased with Hygge Hideaway
We were very pleased with Hygge Hideaway from our arrival through our departure. Beautiful inside and out, the perfect place for the two of us. The river view is fantastic. We enjoyed touring the area, ate in Prairie du Chein at Fort Mulligan's for lunch one day, and golfing in Viroqua. Thank you Wendy Clemmerson. Being a detail-oriented person, there was not one thing lacking! Very enjoyable.

Just wanted to get away for a few days and disconnect. Found this lovely property and the dog and I chilled out in this beautiful little house. Everything you could possibly want and so nicely appointed. Close to the river and great hiking trails nearby. The sofa was so comfy to relax on after a day out and about. Relaxing in the firepit area provided a great view of the river and stunning sunsets The owners were wonderful and easy to work with and I would definitely recommend a stay!!!

My husband and I, and our pup stayed two nights for my birthday weekend. Wow - what a sweet, beautiful and inspiring place to stay. Everything you need and then some is provided, many thoughtful extra touches that really made a difference. Unique rock collections are my jam - looking through those was so fun. Bluffing at Hygge Hideaway
We loved our stay at this property! It was perfect for us and our dog. Nice view of the river, yet far enough away from the river-adjacent train tracks. The cottage was modern, very comfortable, and had a lot of thoughtful ammentities. The hosts were quick to respond to any inquiries. We enjoyed exploring the many natural wonders of the area. We look forward to visiting again.

The Hideaway was perfect for our anniversary excursion. It's close to state parks and there are a variety of restaurants in the area. The property is clean, modern, and so cute! We loved the fire pit area outside. The bed was very comfortable and huge! Wendy was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Definitely recommend!

We loved our stay at the Hideaway! Really nice little place for my wife and me to get away. We watched a beautiful sunset out by the Mississippi River which is right at the end of the street. Close enough to lots of other fun places to see and things to do.

Hikers Hideaway
Lots of wildlife and several beautiful state parks within a 30 minute drive. We loved the view of the Mississippi River and convenience to Prairie du Chien. The home itself was very clean and well cared for. From a kitchen, bathroom and grilling perspective, it was outfitted with everything we needed and offered more than your typical hotel! Recommend bringing bug spray if doing a lot of hiking outside as we did.
